A series of ZnO and ZnO/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) catalysts were prepared using sol-gel method. An X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the existence wurtzite phase, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation revealed formation spherical ZnO/PVA nanoparticles.
