Abstract Metallic-phase MoS 2 (M-MoS ) is metastable and does not exist in nature. Pure stable M-MoS has been previously prepared by chemical synthesis, to the best of our knowledge. Here we report a hydrothermal process for synthesizing two-dimensional nanosheets water. The metal–metal Raman stretching mode at 146 cm −1 structure, as predicted theoretical calculations, experimentally observed. stability associated with adsorption monolayer water molecules on both sides nanosheets, which...

Abstract. Strong atmospheric photochemistry in summer can produce a significant amount of secondary aerosols, which may have large impact on regional air quality and visibility. In the study reported herein, we analyzed sulfate, nitrate, ammonium PM2.5 samples collected using 24-h filter system at suburban rural sites near four major cities China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou). Overall, mass concentrations were high (with mean value 55–68 gμgm−3), reflects long-known particulate...

The search of novel quasi-1D materials is one the important aspects in field material science. Toroidal moment, order parameter ferrotoroidic order, can be generated by a head-to-tail configuration magnetic moment. It has been theoretically proposed that 1D dimerized and antiferromagnetic (AFM)-like spin chain hosts ferrotoroidicity toroidal moment composed only two antiparallel spins. Here, authors report candidate Ba6 Cr2 S10 with such theoretical model chain. structure consists unique...

Parity-time ($\mathcal{PT}$)-symmetric systems, featuring real eigenvalues despite their non-Hermitian nature, undergo spontaneous $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry breaking at the exceptional point (EP). This is also expected produce a more unconventional effect pure quantum devices. Here, we report experimental evidences of single cold $^{40}\mathrm{Ca}^{+}$ ion and,...

Solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) plays an important role in regulating the interfacial ion transfer and safety of Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). It is unstable readily decomposed releasing much heat gases thus triggering thermal runaway. Herein, situ heating X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy applied to uncover inherent decomposition process SEI. The evolution composition, nanostructure, released are further probed by cryogenic transmission electron microscopy, gas chromatography. results...

Research suggests that wastewater is highly polluted by Hg2+, threatening the sustainability of our environment and health conditions human beings. However, most existing adsorbents have a poor adsorption performance require expensive raw materials. A low-cost adsorbent material with very high therefore an urgent need. In this work, we successfully prepared thiophene-based porous triazine polyamide (Tb-PTPa) for first time, using two inexpensive materials simple amidation reaction. Tb-PTPa...

The magnetic coupling of flexible metal phthalocyanine (MPc) thin films can be modified depending on the polymorphic form adopted by crystals. A simple annealing procedure switch couplings from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic (MnPc) or paramagnetic (CuPc), opening up avenues for spintronic applications. Density functional and perturbation theories rationalize these trends attribute mechanism indirect exchange.

Abstract The viability of dilute magnetic semiconductors in applications is linked to the strength couplings, and room temperature operation still elusive standard inorganic systems. Here we show that thin films powders molecular semiconductor cobalt phthalocyanine...

The C-C bond lengths of the linear magnetic neutral CnSb, CnSb+ cations and CnSb− anions are within 1.255–1.336 Å, which is typical for cumulene structures with moderately strong double-bonds. In this report, we found that adiabatic ionization energy (IE) CnSb decreased n. When comparing IE~n relationship pure Cn, latter exhibited a stair-step pattern (n ≥ 6), but chains took shape flat curve. IEs were lower than those corresponding carbon chains.
