Abstract We investigate the effect of competition on price dispersion in airline industry. Using panel data from 1993 to 2008, we find a nonmonotonic dispersion. An increase is associated with greater concentrated markets but less competitive markets—an inverse-U relationship. Our empirical findings are consistent an oligopolistic second-degree discrimination model and encompass contradictory literature.
Molecular additives are widely used to improve the film quality and optoelectronic performance of solution-processed metal halides, owing their diverse interactions with metal-halide precursors. However, relationship between additive-precursor interaction strength halides remains unclear. In this study, we investigate cesium copper iodide (Cs–Cu–I) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) incorporating crown ether (CE) demonstrate that additive-Cs+ can significantly influence device performance. By...
The ORTCS (Orderly Real-time Charging Scheduling) strategy for collaborative optimization of electric vehicles and renewable energy output is proposed, which considering the flexibility charge discharge in intelligent transportation field. aims to maximize consumption as while minimize waiting time expense car users. An EV (electric vehicle) once entering charging station being connected power system, organized planning evaluated based on its initial battery SOC (State Charge), so obtain...

Software-defined networking brings extra complexity to debugging while enhancing network manageability. The competition between applications and subtle bugs in controllers or switches may cause inconformity control plane logic data behavior. Tracing packet trajectory through the is a direct way verify whether processes packets correctly according policy. We introduce NetMagic, SDN-enabled switch based on FPGA which can be managed remotely using custom protocol, present detection of topology...
We developed an inverse design framework enabling automated generation of stable multi-component crystal structures by optimizing the formation energies in latent space based on reversible graphs with continuous representation. It is demonstrated that 9,160 can be generated out 50,000 graphs, leading to 8,310 distinct cases using a training set 52,615 from Materials Project. Detailed analysis 15 selected systems reveals unreported below convex hull discovered 6 material systems. Moreover,...
This paper studies entry and capacity decisions by dialysis providers in the United States. We estimate a structural model where make continuous strategic choices of based on their private information about own costs knowledge distribution competitors’ information. evaluate impact market structure providers’ profits under counterfactual regulatory policies that increase or reduce payment per unit capacity. find these as measured number stations. However, downward-sloping reaction curve...
Using a dataset of dialysis facilities operating in more than 1,000 U.S. counties 2007, I examine the product choice two types firms: multiproduct and single facilities. simulate effect Medicare policy proposal 2008 which reduces regulated price common that is produced by both types. find decreases number but increases also strong evidence for market segmentation between
Botnets have become one of the most serious threats to current Internet and future network security. Only finding connecting command control(C&C) servers can bots join work for botnet, hence how find C&C is critical botnet management running. In this paper, we preliminarily summarize classify currently typical server schemes as three types: dedicated IP address, infrastructure third-party application/service from a new perspective. And compare these types on four aspects. It's seen that...
A concept of fuzzy three-dimensional Voronoi Diagram is presented for spatial relations analysis real world geographical data, where it an extension well known two-dimensional to representation with uncertain relation information in terms set. It makes possible analyze quantitatively complex boundaries geographically intricate areas, give human friendly explanation determining directions, and express by precise unified description. applied decide direction artificial geographicalmountain...
This paper studies entry and capacity decisions by dialysis providers in the U.S. We estimate a structural model where make strategic continuous choices of capacities based on private information about own costs beliefs competitors’ behaviors. evaluate impact market structure provider profits under counterfactual regulatory policies that increase per cost or reduce payment. find these stations. However, downward sloping reaction curve shields some from negative profit shocks certain...
Judicial decisions are an important part of modern democratic societies. In this paper, I present results multi-label classification Chinese judicial documents. The experiments employ the same corpus that was used in AI & Law Challenge(CAIL) 2018.
A dynamic scheduling method based on Quantum SWARM is proposed for electric vehicles charging in the relative disordered traffic environment. It aims to maximum overall efficiency considering realistic individual competition and group collaboration. The result of simulation validation shows that 100 random target power-anxiety clients, algorithm could iterate 1 step with reduction error comparison around 87%, which provide a guaranteed optimal allocation planing station, derived control...
Abstract We investigate the interaction between home bias and market power by estimating an equilibrium oligopoly model using a dataset of new car registrations across Chinese provinces. find more elastic demand for brands on average, despite consistently stronger preference cost advantages local manufacturers. This limits extent bias. Ignoring such effect would lead to overestimation share 281% overstate cross region trade barriers. also that is gender neutral increases with age.
We investigate the relationship between competition and stage specialization in venture capital (VC) market. A typical successful company goes through multiple stages of VC investments, but an average firm specializes participates only a subset these stages. hypothesize that firm's decision to specialize or not poses trade-off business expansion on one hand mitigation other. The intensity market influences strength two effects. Using panel data funding rounds U.S., consistent with our...
