Rheumatic diseases in women of childbearing years may necessitate drug treatment during a pregnancy, to control maternal disease activity and ensure successful pregnancy outcome. This survey is based on consensus workshop international experts discussing effects anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive biological drugs lactation. In addition, these male female fertility possible long-term infants exposed antenatally are discussed where data were available. Recommendations for lactation given.

Objective To investigate the in vitro ability of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) to bind human trophoblast cells and affect gonadotropin secretion invasiveness. Methods Antiphospholipid antibody IgG from women with recurrent miscarriages, β2-glycoprotein I (β2GPI)–independent aPL monoclonal (mAb)(519), IgM anti-β2GPI mAb (TM1G2) were investigated for their binding trophoblasts cultured various amounts time, invasiveness Matrigel-coated filters, release chorionic (hCG). Results Polyclonal...

Objective. To identify the risk factors associated with pregnancy failure in patients APS treated conventional therapy. Methods. A multicentre, case–control study was conducted to compare successful and unsuccessful outcomes. We retrospectively considered 410 pregnancies of women diagnosed primary APS. The focused on 57 (considered population) control matched for age All had been protocol treatments including low-dose aspirin and/or heparin. clinical laboratory features two groups were...

To compare clinical features, laboratory data and fetal-maternal outcomes between 1000 women with obstetric APS (OAPS) 640 aPL-related complications not fulfilling Sydney criteria (non-criteria OAPS, NC-OAPS).This was a retrospective prospective multicentre study from the European Registry on Obstetric Antiphospholipid Syndrome.A total of 1650 5251 episodes, 3601 which were historical latest included. Altogether, cases (OAPS group) fulfilled classification 650 (NC-OAPS did not. Ten NC-OAPS...

This study aimed to describe the long-term outcome and immunological status of children born mothers with antiphospholipid syndrome, determine factors responsible for childhood abnormalities, correlate child's profile their mothers.A prospective follow-up a European multicentre cohort was conducted. The consisted clinical examination, growth data, neurodevelopmental milestones antibodies (APL) screening. Children were examined at 3, 9, 24 months 5 years.134 analysed (female sex in 65 cases,...

Introduction: In this prospective multicenter study, we aimed to describe (1) the outcome of pregnancy in case previous chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI), (2) immunological findings and associated diseases, (3) treatments, (4) factors with loss.We prospectively included all patients a prior CHI ongoing between 2011 2013.Twenty-four women (age 34±5 years) were study. An autoimmune disease was present seven (29%) cases. Twenty-one pregnancies treated. The number live births more...

The present study was designed to investigate the effects of immunoglobulin G obtained from patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) on in-vitro models trophoblast invasiveness and differentiation. We tested binding affinity-purified human primary cells. These antibodies affected differentiation cytotrophoblast cells after cell surface. In addition, we determined whether drugs used treat APS might be able restore functions. Low-molecular weight heparin, in a dose-dependent manner,...

The focus of this paper is a case study woman in the first trimester pregnancy who presented with metastatic breast cancer. bony spread metastases was rapid and it necessary to treat patient as soon possible after period organogenesis (days 18-60 human gestation). This stage phase greatest sensitivity teratogens malformations are observed most often. Yet, choice third-line chemotherapy difficult because anthracycline-resistant world literature reported cytotoxic combinated regimens standard...

This study was conducted to determine whether drugs used for conventional treatments of pregnant women with antiphosholipid syndrome might be able restore the gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH)-induced secretion placental human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) in vitro. We tested this hypothesis using a modified enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and an in-vitro culture system. Pharmacological dose low molecular weight heparin (20 IU/ml) significantly (P < 0.02) reduced...
