Abstract The role of general splicing in endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-proteostasis remains poorly understood. Here, we identify SNRPB, a component the spliceosome, as novel regulator export from ER. Mechanistically, SNRPB regulates components ER machinery, including Sec16A, exit sites.
