The quantum-deformed (1+1) Poincar\'e algebra is shown to be the kinematical symmetry of harmonic chain, whose spacing given by deformation parameter. Phonons with their symmetries as well multiphonon processes are derived from quantum group structure. Inhomogeneous groups thus proposed invariances discrete systems.
Objectives To determine whether type 2 diabetes mellitus and hyperglycemia on admission should be considered independent predictors of mortality in elderly adults with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Design Prospective cohort study. Setting Twenty‐three hospitals Italy. Participants Individuals aged 75 older non‐ ST ‐elevation ACS ( NSTEACS ) (mean age 82, 47% female) (N = 645). Measurements Diabetic status blood glucose levels were assessed admission. Hyperglycemia was defined as greater...
OBJECTIVES: Exercise tolerance is reduced with advancing age. Identification of potentially reversible determinants the age‐related decrement in exercise tolerance, which remain largely unexplored older subjects and patients recovering from a recent myocardial infarction (MI), may have useful therapeutic implications. The objective this study was to identify independent MI. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS: Data baseline assessment 265 post‐MI (age range 45–85 years) enrolled Cardiac...
Aims and background The advantage of delivering chemotherapy by hepatic arterial infusion is the acquisition a high concentration drug in target. Irinotecan (CPT-11) active for treatment advanced colorectal cancer. In phase I studies, doses 20 mg/m 2 /d 5 days given every 4 weeks as continuous or 200 short 30-min 3 recommended II studies. Methods study design Twelve patients with median liver substitution 30% (20-50%) were enrolled, 6 progressed after FOLFOX-induced partial response...
AbstractNeuroendocrine tumors, particularly those of gastrointestinal tract origin, have a predisposition for metastasizing to the liver, causing parenchymal substitution and paraneoplastic syndrome. Lipiodol embolization combined with anticancer drugs is recent tool in regional therapy. It has been proven that chemoembolization reduces tumor bulk hormone levels, it palliates symptoms many patients liver-dominant neuroendocrine metastases. Beginning December 1988, ten unresectable...
Inhomogeneous quantum groups are shown to be an effective algebraic tool in the study of integrable systems and provide solutions equivalent Bethe ansatz. The method is illustrated on 1D Heisenberg ferromagnet whose symmetry Galilei group Gamma_q(1) here introduced. Both single magnon s=1/2 bound states n-magnons completely described by algebra.
The 1D Heisenberg spin chain with anisotropy of the XXZ type is analyzed in terms symmetry given by quantum Galilei group Gamma_q(1). We show that magnon excitations and s=1/2, n-magnon bound states are determined algebra. Thus Gamma_q(1) provides a description naturally induces Bethe Ansatz. recurrence relations permit to express energy closed form Tchebischeff polynomials.
The concept of a universal T matrix, introduced by Fronsdal and Galindo (1993) in the framework quantum groups, is discussed here as generalization exponential mapping. New examples related to inhomogeneous groups physical interest are developed, duality calculations explicitly presented it found that some cases for Lie expressed terms usual series.
