Abstract The chemical composition of propolis from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Algeria was investigated by GC-MS. All them contained mainly flavonoids esters caffeic ferulic acids, which indicated that their main source are buds poplars the taxonomic section Aegieros. Some Turkish samples a low percent diterpenic while in Algerian significant amounts hydroxyditerpenic acid (M=322, its structure not determined MS) were found. showed antibacterial weak to moderate antifungal activity.

This study provides a comprehensive melissopalynological analysis of honey samples from the Ganja Gazakh region Azerbaijan, offering valuable insights into diversity and abundance plant species visited by bees in area. A total 23 were examined using light microscopy to identify quantify pollen types their frequencies. The results revealed that most abundant families Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae, Lamiaceae. finding suggests these are important sources nectar for bees. Notably, Fabaceae...

The aim of the present work is to study chemical composition Turkish propolis. Propolis samples were collected from different regions Turkey (Bursa, Erzurum-Askale, Gumushane-Sogutagil and Trabzon-Caglayan) in 1999. Ethanol extracts propolis (EEP) prepared for analysis, using gas chromatograph coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Our findings show that Trabzon Gumushane region have a similar composition. In both aromatic acids, aliphatic acids their esters, also ketone derivatives are...

Abstract Atmospheric pollen was collected with a Burkard spore trap in Ankara, Turkey, from January 1990 to 1993. A total of 135.787 grains/m3 belonging 47 taxa were observed. The local season started February and 1991 March 1992. Relatively low concentrations recorded 1992, probably because precipitation wind speed the spring. relatively high concentration which could be caused by higher spring more during winter.
