The displacive phase transition in SrTiO3 was investigated by means of x-ray diffraction. We used 4.5 keV photons thus probing only a very thin region near the surface. We present experimental studies on the dielectric properties of amorphous cerium dioxide in Au–CeO2–Au systems strontium titanate substrates. From measurements capacitance versus contact area we calculated constant at room temperature to be r = 26.9 ± 0.5. These also reveal an additional offset capacitance, which can attributed stray fields substrate material. I–V characteristics show that current transport through insulator changes from electrode-limited bulk-limited conduction.
