Background: To investigate the expression of ATF3 in blood and urine adult patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) surgery to identify changes during perioperative period CPB, determine whether can be used as a biological marker for early diagnosis acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods: We prospectively studied 83 who underwent elective CPB (ECB). Relevant clinical information was collected. Blood samples were collected preoperatively (T0) at 2 h (T1), 6 (T2), 12 (T3), 24 (T4), 48 (T5)...

Background . Median sternotomy is the most applied approach in open‐heart surgery, while potential complications such as postoperative bleeding, sternal dehiscence, and deep wound infection (DWSI) still remain a challenge to cardiac surgeons. Several new sternum‐closure products instead of stainless wire have been brought into clinical application. The objective this retrospective study evaluate novel sternum‐fixing product terms outcomes. Methods 689 consecutive cases undergoing surgery...

Objective . There are four widely‐used formulae to calculate the perioperative glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. We assessed predictive values these in occurrence postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods Patients who underwent open‐heart valvular surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass from January 2015 October 2017 were enrolled this retrospective study. Demographic data and serum creatinine levels collected. The estimated GFR (eGFR) was calculated...

Rotating elliptical nanowire arrays as two-dimensional photonic crystals has been proposed and studied in this Letter. The analysis of the four lowest energy bands first bandgap width some examples illustrates that rotation configuration primitive cell can have effects on reducibility Brillouin zone. As central element’s orientation changes, irreducible zone could be expanded to whole Special attention paid with adjacent elements perpendicular each other, unexpectedly retracted back 1/8...

Several batches of reinforced concrete (RC) and prestressed (PRC) beams with 500MPa steel bars were tested in Tongji University, recently. The results indicated that the development flexural stiffness after cracking was influenced mainly by three parameters including initial elastic stiffness, longitudinal reinforcement ratio load level. Based on our 20 years' systematic research crack a simpler unified formula is suggested theoretical analyses for predicting short term using high strength...

Abstract According to the theory of architecture and fire engineering, U-shaped enclosed atrium full are selected as research objects understand characteristics typical atrium. The two types quantitatively studied characteristic indexes compared, which provides more objective data for building safety assessment. Based on results, protection design suggestions proposed.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) for cardiac surgery, and there no effective treatment. This study was aimed at constructing an early warning model of AKI CPB in adults investigating the performance this model. Patients who underwent Department Cardiac Surgery, Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, from January 2018 to December 2019 were recruited into present study. Blood urine samples collected preoperatively (0 h) 2 h, 6 12 24 48 h...

In order to popularize the application of external prestressing technique in existing building green retrofits, this paper presents compilation nonlinear analysis program for externally prestressed beams based on both geometrical nonlinearity type and material type. Combined static-load-experiment with 12 concrete tendons, calculative results showed that this matched relatively well experimental results.
