Hypothyroidism, the most common endocrine disease, induces cardiac electrical remodeling that creates a substrate for ventricular arrhythmias. Recent studies report high thyrotropin (TSH) levels are related to abnormalities and increased mortality rates. The aim of present work was investigate direct effects TSH on heart its possible causative role in incidence arrhythmia hypothyroidism.
Introduction: Decision-making on medical equipment management is a daily task for clinical engineers, but it may prove difficult to easily extract relevant information from the large amount of data computerized maintenance systems. This article describes simple method classification based corrective indicators. Methods: Three indicators were calculated number events, duration and cost maintenance.Three classes defined according indicator values different ages: class A 0-4 years, B 5-9 C older...
Little is currently known about possible developmental changes in myocardial Na+ handling, which may have impact on cell excitability and Ca2+ content. Resting intracellular concentration ([Na+ ]i ), measured freshly isolated rat ventricular myocytes with CoroNa green, was not significantly different neonates (3-5 days old) adults, but electrical stimulation caused marked [Na+ rise only neonates. Inhibition of L-type current by CdCl2 abolished systolic transients, also activity-dependent...
