We present a series of measurements fluctuating perturbation in the angular correlation $^{111}\mathrm{Cd}$ ${\mathrm{In}}_{2}$${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ powder samples. analyze temperature dependence associated hyperfine parameters and conclude that this arises from "aftereffects" following electron capture $^{111}\mathrm{In}$. discuss connection perturbed-angular-correlation aftereffects with local electric properties at impurity sites semiconductors.
Static quadrupole moments ($Q$) of ${8}^{+}$ isomers in $^{88,90}\mathrm{Zr}$ and the ${\frac{21}{2}}^{+}$ isomer $^{91}\mathrm{Zr}$, as well $Q$ ratios $^{90,92,94}\mathrm{Mo}$, have been measured with time-differential perturbed-angular-distribution technique. The were excited by pulsed heavy-ion beams recoil implanted into single crystals Zr which their precession was observed. Our results, first such data for high-spin ${g}_{\frac{9}{2}}$ shell, yield large $E2$ effective charges proton...
The internal oxidation of $\mathrm{Ag}\mathrm{In}$ alloys has been investigated by time-differential perturbed angular correlation technique on $^{111}\mathrm{In}$ probes. We studied the kinetics dilute (a few ppm) at 300\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C under different annealing conditions and 1 at.% indium 550\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C. In some cases, time dependence oxidation-front advance was ruled a power law with an exponent from 0.5. determined hyperfine parameters...

We investigate the asymptotic behavior of a family multiple orthogonal polynomials that is naturally linked with normal matrix model monomial potential arbitrary degree $d+1$. The we are respect to system $d$ analytic weights defined on symmetric $(d+1)$-star centered at origin. In first part analyze in detail vector equilibrium problem involving interacting measures $(\mu_{1},\ldots,\mu_{d})$ supported star-like sets plane. show subcritical regime, component $\mu_{1}^{*}$ solution this zero...
The first quantitative results on internal oxidation of impurities in a noble-metal host, using the time-differential perturbed angular-correlation technique, are reported here. system studied was indium-silver, with few ppm indium. existence well-defined front is found for this highly dilute alloy. kinetics were determined oxidating temperatures 400 and 500\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C. Our good agreement parabolic dependence depth elapsed time. No unique indium-oxygen configurations...
The electronic and structural properties of pure Ta-doped monoclinic ${\text{HfO}}_{2}$ have been examined by means ab initio density-functional calculations. full-potential linear augmented plane wave plus local orbital $(\text{APW}+\text{LO})$ method was used here to treat the structure doped system including atomic relaxations introduced impurities. effects reducing Ta concentration were simulated periodic arrangements supercells increasing size, all containing a single atom. calculated...
The temperature dependence of the electric quadrupole interaction in polycrystalline antiferroelectric PbHf${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ has been investigated range -253 to +225\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C by perturbed angular correlations and M\"ossbauer measurements. Three different phases have observed with transition temperatures 163 215 \ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C agreement results crystal-structure studies. In two tetragonal below 215\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C compound...
A combination of experiments and ab initio quantum-mechanical calculations has been applied to examine electronic, structural, hyperfine interactions in pure Ta-doped zirconium dioxide its monoclinic phase ($m$-ZrO${}_{2}$). From the theoretical point view, full-potential linear augmented plane wave plus local orbital (APW+lo) method was treat electronic structure doped system including atomic relaxations introduced by impurities host a fully self-consistent way using supercell approach....
A combination of experiments and ab initio quantum-mechanical calculations has been applied to examine hyperfine interactions in Ta-doped hafnium dioxide. Although the properties monoclinic ${\text{HfO}}_{2}$ have subject several earlier studies, some aspects remain open. In particular, time differential perturbed angular correlation spectroscopy studies using $^{181}\text{T}\text{a}$ as probe atom revealed coexistence two this material but an explanation was only given for more populated...
The magnetic moments of the ${2}_{1}^{+}$ states in $^{186,188}\mathrm{Os}$ and $^{194,196}\mathrm{Pt}$ isotopes have been measured by transient field technique at ion recoil velocities $1.6\ensuremath{\lesssim}\frac{v}{{v}_{0}}\ensuremath{\lesssim}2.8$. was assumed to follow parametrization proposed Shu et al. for ions range $8<Z<62$. $g$ factors obtained osmium $g(^{186}\mathrm{Os})=0.262(15)$ $g(^{188}\mathrm{Os})=0.300(15)$ are excellent agreement with independent M\"ossbauer...
Suppose we have a Nikishin system of p measures with the kth generating measure supported on an interval {Delta}{sub k} subset R Intersection k+1} = Empty-Set for all k. It is well known that corresponding staircase sequence multiple orthogonal polynomials satisfies (p+2)-term recurrence relation whose coefficients, under appropriate assumptions measures, periodic limits period p. (The limit values depend only positions intervals k}.) Taking these as coefficients new relation, construct...
Samples of Ca1−xSrxHfO3 with x = 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 have been studied. These oxides were synthesized using the high temperature solid state reaction method that can produce oxygen vacancies. The lattice hyperfine interaction parameters determined. From these data it is possible correlate behaviour composition temperature. effect vacancies analyzed. dependence display discontinuities are interpreted as signs crystalline phase transitions at about 900, 850 700 K, for 0.75, respectively.
Polynomials $Q_n(z)$, $n=0,1,\ldots,$ that are multi-orthogonal with respect to a Nikishin system of $p\geq 1$ compactly supported measures over the star-like set $p+1$ rays $S_+:=\{z\in \mathbb{C}: z^{p+1}\geq 0 \}$ investigated. We prove is normal, polynomials satisfy three-term recurrence relation order form $z Q_{n}(z)=Q_{n+1}(z)+a_{n}\,Q_{n-p}(z)$ $a_n>0$ for all $n\geq p$, and nonzero roots $Q_n$ simple located in $S_+$. Under assumption regularity (in sense Stahl Totik) generating...
