There is no data on the variation in suicide risk over lifetime and suicide-preventive effect of long-term treatment mood-disorder patients with antidepressants neuroleptics. Our research focused 186 unipolar (D), 60 bipolar II (Dm), 130 nuclear I (MD), 30 preponderantly manic (M/Md); that were followed-up from 1963 to 2003. By 2003, 45 (11.1%) 406 had committed suicide. Suicide rates highest among D (Standardized Mortality Ratio, SMR = 26.4), MD (SMR 13.6), Dm 10.6) lowest M/Md 4.7)....

Hand strength is an important independent surrogate parameter to assess outcome and risk of morbidity mortality. This study aimed determine the predictive power cofactors predict population-based normative grip pinch strength.A representative population survey was used as basis for prediction analyses (n = 978). Bivariate relationships between grip/pinch strengths dominate hand were explored by means all relevant mathematical functions maximize prediction. The resulting best combined into a...

Background and Purpose— Outcome after first stroke varies significantly across Europe. This study was designed to compare motor functional recovery between four European rehabilitation centers. Methods— Consecutive patients (532 patients) were recruited. They assessed on admission at 2, 4, 6 months with the Barthel Index, Rivermead Motor Assessment of Gross Function, Leg/Trunk, Arm, Nottingham Extended Activities Daily Living (except admission). Data analyzed using random effects ordinal...

Methods In a prospective cohort study 153 total arthroplasties, was measured by Short Form 36 (SF‐36); Disabilities Arm, Shoulder, and Hand questionnaire (DASH); Shoulder Pain Disability Index (SPADI); American Elbow Surgeons for (ASES); Constant (Murley) Score (CS). Responsiveness mainly quantified effect sizes before months after operation. Sensitivity analysis effects receiver...
