The effects of Ca and Ba substitutions for Sr on the structure properties ${\mathrm{Sr}}_{2}$${\mathrm{IrO}}_{4}$ were studied. Increase in Ir-O(2)-Ir bond angle ${\mathrm{IrO}}_{2}$ plane was found after Sr. However, Ir-O(2) distance is to be unchanged by substitution, while it decreases substitution. Regardless these structural changes, magnetic transition temperature at 240 K unchanged. Semiconductive behavior resistivity all compounds with increase activation energy above 200 K. Both...

To investigate the pathogenesis of accelerated bone formation in estrogen deficiency, diffusion chambers containing osteoblast-like cells isolated from newborn rat calvariae were transplanted into peritoneal cavity sham-operated (sham), ovariectomized (OVX) rats, and OVX rats with supplement 17 beta-estradiol (OVX + E2). Bone was more than that sham E2 rats. Osteoblast-like cultured sera exhibited higher levels DNA content culture wells, alkaline phosphatase activity, messenger RNA...

Abstract Enzymatic hydrolysis of poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) and succinate‐ co ‐ L ‐lactate) (PBSL) has been studied by using a lipase originated from Pseudomonas cepacia . It found that the drawn fibers PBSL are readily hydrolyzed action lipase, while those PBS undergo little enzymatic hydrolysis. Since polymer films under same conditions, should depend not only on crystallinity but also molecular orientation. The weight samples gradually decreases with incubation time, because...

Abstract Polycrystalline CaMoO3 was prepared by a new method making use of the oxygen stability range, and revealed to have an orthorhombic lattice (a=5.448Å, b=7.776Å, c=5.582Å), metallic conduction Pauli paramagnetism. The results indicate that 4d2 electrons Mo4+ are delocalized in as same those BaMoO3 SrMoO3.

X-ray photoelectron diffraction (XPD) patterns of In 3d core levels have been measured for the Si(001)-(4×3)-In surface. An R factor analysis with single-scattering and multiple-scattering simulations XPD was performed three structural models proposed so far. Only model by surface [Appl. Surf. Sci.123/124, 104 (1998)] appeared to give a reasonably small when geometric parameters were modified from original ones.
