Abstract On Earth’s surface, there are only a handful of high-quality astronomical sites that meet the requirements for very large next-generation facilities. In context scientific opportunities in time-domain astronomy, good site on Tibetan Plateau will bridge longitudinal gap between known best 1,2 (all Western Hemisphere). The is highest plateau Earth, with an average elevation over 4,000 metres, and thus potentially provides astronomy particle astrophysics 3–5 . Here we report results...

Abstract M giants, with their distinctive properties such as high luminosity, serve excellent indicators for mapping the structure of Milky Way. The distance to distant giants can be determined by using color–magnitude relation (CMR), which is derived from diagrams specific systems in previous studies. In this work, we aimed achieve more accurate determination focusing on open clusters (OCs) a large number member stars and thus improve CMR. For first time, compiled census OCs harboring Gaia...

Abstract We present a photometric and spectroscopic analysis of the eclipsing binary KIC 10486425. Synthesis light curve radial velocity measurements indicates that this is circular, synchronized, detached system. The masses radii two components are determined as <?CDATA ${M}_{1}=1.54\,{M}_{\odot }$?> , M 2 = 1.11 ⊙ ${R}_{1}=1.47\,{R}_{\odot ${R}_{2}=1.60\,{R}_{\odot respectively. cooler secondary star more evolved, while primary still on zero-age main sequence, suggesting 10486425 could be...

Asteroseismic analysis of solar-like stars allows us to determine physical parameters such as stellar mass, with a higher precision compared most other methods. Even in well-studied cluster the Hyades, masses red giant are not well known, and previous mass estimates based on model calculations (isochrones). The four known giants Hyades assumed be clump (core-helium-burning) their positions colour-magnitude diagrams, however asteroseismology offers an opportunity test this assumption. Using...

The central engine that powers gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), the most powerful explosions in universe, is still not identified. Besides hyper-accreting black holes, rapidly spinning and highly magnetized neutron stars, known as millisecond magnetars, have been suggested to power both long short GRBs. presence of a magnetar following compact star mergers particular interest it would provide essential constraints on poorly understood equation state for stars. Indirect indications these merger...

At present, the etiology of narcolepsy is not fully understood, and it generally believed to be an autoimmune reaction caused by interactions between environmental genetic factors. Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II genes are strongly associated with this gene, especially HLA-DQB1*0602/DQA1*0102. In study, we mainly analyzed correlation different genotypes HLA-DQB1*0602/DQA1*0102 clinical manifestations in Chinese patients narcolepsy.
