Abstract Utilizing biomass and CO 2 to synthesize biodegradable reusable polymeric materials is critical for addressing the dual challenges of petrochemical resource depletion environmental pollution. Among emerging alternatives, ‐based polyols (PPC) exhibit exceptional promise in replacing petroleum‐based polyols; while, lignin stands as most abundant aromatic resource. However, integrating these feedstocks produce high‐performance with combined biodegradability, recyclability, reusability...
ABSTRACT CO 2 copolymer diol‐based thermal polyurethane elastomers (PPC‐TPU) were prepared by the reaction of diol and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate chain extender (ethylene glycol/1,4‐butanediol/1,6‐hexanediol) (EG/BDO/HG). The rheological mechanical properties PPC‐TPU analyzed. effects shear rate, temperature, hard segment content, variety on studied. results showed that apparent viscosity (η) decreased with increasing rate ( τ ), non‐Newtonian index n ) was less than 1. exhibited a...
Diols (PCD and IPCD) were synthesized by the reaction of propylene carbonate (PC) with ethylenediamine (EDA) or 2-methyl-1,5-pentanediamine (DAMP), respectively, diols then reacted isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), finally terminated hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) to obtain ultraviolet (UV)-curable oligomers (HPD HDPD). The chemical structures analyzed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). two separately mixed diluent tetrahydrofuran (THFA)...
Abstract The kinetics of propylene oxide polymerization catalyzed by double metal cyanide complexes was studied means pressure measurements. induction periods were determined as the time system began to drop and reaction rates considered proportional slope decrease. found depend on temperature, water content, type amount catalysts, regulators, solvents. Elevating temperatures, using dried raw materials, applying proper regulators favored shortened periods. concentrations catalyst C , monomer...
A shape memory fiber was prepared and a corresponding fabric fabricated by knitting using the fiber. Both showed good properties. The had much higher mechanical strength than that of films due to molecular orientation caused spinning process. biological evaluations were preliminarily assessed in terms cytotoxicity, hemolysis, sensitization dermal irritant. test results show is not cytotoxic, hemolytic, sensitive, or Due special format fiber/fabric being more compatible with human bodies...
PCL-based shape memory polyurethane ionomers with quaternarized pyridine moieties incorporated through molecular extension were synthesized. These polyurethanes specifically designed as low-temperature thermoplastic anti-bacterial orthotic materials. A commercialized material was employed for comparison. The influence of ionic groups on the properties materials studied. and cytotoxicity ionomer tested. It found that, different from other researchers' conclusions, Coulombic force among...
Abstract Silicone‐epoxy polymers (SEP) with different n (SiH)/ (CC) ratios were synthesized through the hydrosilylation reaction of diallyl bisphenol A epoxy resin (DADGEBA) and hydrogen‐containing silicone oil (HS) long chain. The structure SEP was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance ( 1 H NMR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), compatibility curing system studied dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) scanning electron microscope...
Abstract Poly (propylene carbonate) diol (PPCD) is one of the most attractive CO 2 copolymers. PPCD‐based polyurethane has excellent mechanical properties and hydrophilicity, widely used in various fields. However, poor alkali resistance limits application wet‐type artificial leather (WPL). In order to solve this problem, solution (PUS) for was prepared by using PPCD polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG) as soft segments. The chemical structure, viscosity, molecular weight distribution,...
The diffusion behavior of water through epoxy coatings with micaceous iron oxide (MIO) at different pigment volume concentration (PVC) was studied by EIS techniques. Experimental results showed that, in the initial period, processes immersed 0.5 M sodium chloride (NaCl) solution followed Fick's second law. coefficients were also calculated. Within PVC values that studied, decreased increasing PVC, indicating barrier property main factor affecting behavior.
Abstract Highly alternating CO 2 -cyclohexene oxide copolymer, namely poly(cyclohexene carbonate) (PCHC), considered potentially to be microelectronic sacrificial material, was successfully synthesized by copolymerization of cyclohexene and in the presence SalenAl(O i Pr) catalyst. The obtained highly PCHC copolymer were determined proven have superior thermal decomposition properties decomposing completely at 350 o C thermogravimetric (TG) analysis under dynamic conditions. kinetics...
Abstract In order to explore more sustainable epoxy resins, a series of novel bio‐based resins with long silicone‐chain are synthesized from honokiol. First, honokiol (HOEP) is Then, the hydrogen‐containing siloxane (HS) copolymerized epoxy, and prepared through hydrosilylation reaction. Before curing methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride (MHHPA), structure silicone (SIHOEP) confirmed by Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). The molecular weight...
Abstract UV‐curable oligomers were synthesized by the reaction of ethylene glycol (EG) or 1,4‐butanediol (BDO) with isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), and then terminated hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA). The chemical structures molecular weight two analyzed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), nuclear magnetic resonance ( 1 H NMR 13 C NMR) high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). obtained separately mixed bisphenol A‐type epoxy (EA) in different mass ratios. resulting mixture was...
<title>Abstract</title> Waterborne polyurethanes emulsions (WPU) based on polyethylene carbonate diol (PECD) were synthesized, characterized and modificated by polypropylene (PPCD) organosilicon KH-792. The mechanical, thermal hydrolysis resistance properties of waterborne comprehensively investigated. results show that PECD WPU has very excellent mechanical properties. tensile strength the elongation at break PU was up to 73 MPa 1040%, which much higher than reported for similar types...
