Novel species of fungi described in this study include those from various countries as follows:
Collections of pathogenic fungi found on spiders from Thailand were selected for a detailed taxonomic study. Morphological comparison and phylogenetic analyses the combined ITS, LSU, tef1 , rpb1 rpb2 sequence data indicated that these specimens formed new independent lineages within Cordycipitaceae, containing two genera occurring spiders, i.e. Jenniferia gen. nov. Polystromomyces Two species in J. griseocinerea sp. thomisidarum are described. strains, NHJ 03510 BCC 2191, initially named as...
Six strains representing two novel ascomycetous yeast species were isolated from mushroom fruiting bodies and cocoa leaves collected in Thailand. Analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions D1/D2 domains large subunit rRNA gene sequences showed that six divided into groups. The first group consisted four (DMKU-SSK46, DMKU-SK1, SCCL3-5 SCCL19-3), closely related to type Candida conglobata, insectorum, Yamadazyma dushanensis, mexicana riverae, but with 12-14 (2.5-2.9 %) 28-50...
In this study, we investigated the effects of highly prized ectomycorrhizal (ECM) mushroom, Astraeus odoratus, on growth Dipterocarpus tuberculatus Roxb.and Shorea roxburghii G. Don seedlings. The two seedling species were inoculated using methods: 1) spore suspension 25 mL/seedling; and 2) hyphal mL/seedling.On harvesting, it was found that 30-60% roots formed by seedlings roots.Seedling development influenced inoculation method host plant species.A higher response observed in S. with A....
Two strains of genus Kodamaea , representing a novel anamorphic yeast species, were isolated from two samples Marasmiellus sp. collected in Thailand. Analysis the sequences internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and D1/D2 domains large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene showed that differed by 27–42 nucleotide substitutions LSU 7–34 ITS region group related smagusa CBS 11430 T fungicola JCM 10142 plutei ATCC MYA-4329 lidongshanica SD5S01 jinghongensis NYNU 167162 .
