A ciprofloxacin-loaded water-in-oil nanoemulsion (CPX-NE) was prepared and evaluated for the antimicrobial effect against oral biofilms produced by Enterococcus faecalis. CPX-NE ultrasonication using functional excipients oleic acid (oil phase), Span 80 (surfactant), Transcutol P (cosurfactant).
