Obesity has been associated with osteoarthritis (OA) due to increased mass and metabolic factors which are independent of the biomechanical contribution joint load. Resveratrol, a natural polyphenolic compound, exerts protective effects on OA through its anti-inflammatory property. However, mechanism resveratrol obesity-related is unclear. To investigate effect possible oral OA, we fed C57BL/6J mice high-fat diet (HFD) for 16 weeks establish model; then two doses (22.5 mg/kg 45 mg/kg) were...

Aim of the study: Obesity leads to mild, chronic inflammation which is a primary risk factor for osteoarthritis (OA). Resveratrol exerts protective effect on OA through its anti-inflammatory properties, but precise mechanism remains unknown. The present study aimed investigate by resveratrol alleviates obesity-related OA, and whether it linked TLR4 PI3K/Akt signaling pathways.Materials methods: C57BL/6J male mice were fed high-fat diet (HFD) with or without treatment knee joints collected...

Inhibitory control hierarchically regulates cognitive and emotional systems in the service of adaptive goal-directed behavior across changing task demands environments. While previous studies convergently determined contribution prefrontal-striatal to general inhibitory control, findings on specific circuits that mediate context-specific impact remained inconclusive. Against this background we combined an evaluated Go/No Go with fMRI a large cohort subjects (N=250) segregate brain...

Abstract Background Accumulating evidence suggests that migraine patients present abnormal brain responses to salient sensory and emotional stimuli. However, it is still unclear whether this a generalized or domain-specific phenomenon. Employing well-validated fMRI paradigm, we investigated pain empathic reactivity across two domains: observation of physical (noxious stimulation) affective (facial expressions). On the basis hyperexcitability/hyperreactivity in migraine, hypothesized both...

An efficient iron-catalyzed, microwave-promoted cascade benzylation−cyclization of phenols is reported. Benzyl acetates, benzyl bromides, and carbonates are suitable benzylating reagents. The reactions proceed to afford both 9-aryl 9-alkyl xanthene derivatives in good high yields using FeCl3 as the catalyst under MW irradiation conditions.

Abstract We normally react to individuals who exclude us socially by either avoiding them or increasing our attempts interact with them. The neuropeptide oxytocin can promote social bonds and reduce conflict we therefore investigated whether it facilitates more positive responses towards include us. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, between-subject design 77 healthy Chinese male female participants received intranasal (40 IU) placebo before playing modified virtual ball-tossing game...

Osteoarthritis (OA) is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation. Resveratrol exerts protective effects on OA through its anti-inflammatory property; however, the mechanism of resveratrol signaling pathways has not been fully elucidated yet. The aim present study was to investigate whether resveratrol-mediated PI3K/Akt expression linked TLR4/NF-κB pathway and role TLR4/Akt/FoxO1 axis in anti-osteoarthritic effect resveratrol.SW1353 cells stimulated by IL-1β (10 ng/mL) were cultured...

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Generalized Anxiety (GAD) are highly debilitating often co-morbid disorders. The disorders exhibit partly overlapping dysregulations on the behavioral neurofunctional level. determination of disorder-specific may therefore promote neuro-mechanistic diagnostic specificity. In order to determine alterations in domain emotion-cognition interactions present study examined emotional context-specific inhibitory control treatment-naïve MDD (n = 37) GAD 35)...

Abstract Major depression disorder (MDD) and anxiety are both prevalent debilitating. High rates of comorbidity between MDD social (SAD) suggest common pathological pathways, including aberrant neural processing interpersonal signals. In patient populations, the determination distinct neurofunctional markers SAD is often hampered by confounding factors, such as generally elevated levels disorder‐specific brain structural alterations.
