Eastern Himalaya and northeastern India are part of two global biodiversity hotspots, yet the critical butterfly-plant associations early stages most butterfly species in this region poorly recorded. We have reported larval host plants 78 species, some which rare endemic, providing specific information on spatial temporal details associated with these records. These records contribute region-specific Indian butterflies, may be useful basic ecological conservation studies future.
Pseudothemis zonata (Burmeister, 1839) and Burmagomphus divaricatus Lieftinck, 1964 are reported for the first time from northeastern India—hitherto not west of Thailand. The female Anisopleura vallei St. Quentin, 1937, is described time, with new records this species four localities in Kohima District, Nagaland, India. Previously, only known record was type series collected by Quentin 1935. We also provide Schmidtiphaea chittaranjani (Lahiri, 2003) which previously holotype.
