Abstract This study reports an experimental comparison of two types atmospheric pressure plasma jets in terms their fundamental characteristics and efficacy bacterial sterilization. The are fabricated by inserting a high voltage electrode inside one-end closed (double DBD jet) or both ends open (single quartz tubes which further enclosed second tube containing ground electrode.
