Ambient gas and particle phase samples were collected during two sampling periods from a residential area of an industrialized city, Kocaeli, Turkey. The occurred winter months when structures being heated, summer not heated. Σ13PAH (gas + particle) concentrations ranged between 6.2 ng m−3 (DahA) 98.6 (Phe) in the heating (winter) period 3.0 (BaA) 35.1 non-heating (summer) period. Phe, Flt Pyr found to be at high both periods. Winter time concentration ratios for individual ambient PAH 1.2...

The main objective of this study was to choose appropriate locations for two air quality monitoring stations in an urban area Turkey by using specific decision-making techniques. For purpose, five different potential station and seven a rural were evaluated according Multi Criteria Decision Making techniques (MCDM): Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Realité III (ELECTRE III). inputs these methods the levels associated pollution hot spots estimated dispersion...

This study was conducted to determine the exposure and health risk cooking fumes of a total 88 volunteer kitchen staff aged between 18 65 years working in five different kitchens Ankara. Gas- particle-phase polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), volatile organic compound (VOCs) concentrations were evaluated indoor air 5 kitchens. Serum malondialdehyde (MDA) superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels analyzed oxidative damage as result among cooks waiters. Significant positive relationships found...

Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and has been affecting world since end of 2019. Turkey severely affected with first case being reported on March 11 th 2020. Ambient particulate matter (PM) samples in various size ranges were collected from 13 sites including urban background locations hospital gardens 10 cities across between May 14 June, 2020 to investigate a possible presence RNA ambient PM. A total 155 daily (TSP, n=80 ; PM 2.5 , n=33 2.5-10...
