Abstract Aero-engine is a key part of aircraft, the operating temperature which being pushed to unprecedented levels for higher engine efficiency and performance. To accomplish gas-inlet aero-engines, applying thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) on hot-section metallic components, or even replacing some components in aero-engines with ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) environmental-barrier (EBCs) them, are effective methods have been widely accepted. On other hand, increasing causes aircraft more...
Abstract Ytterbium disilicate (Yb 2 Si O 7 ) is a potential environmental barrier coating (EBC) material. In this paper, the microstructure and phase composition of plasma‐sprayed Yb coatings with different spraying process were systematically investigated to optimize power distance. Furthermore, in order obtain single phase, certain proportion SiO was added powder compensate for volatilization during plasma‐spraying process, influence on structure (composition content) also characterized...
Abstract Bond coats in environmental barrier coatings (EBCs) prevent oxidants from penetrating the substrate, mediate mismatch of coefficient thermal expansion (CTE), and improve adhesion strength between adjacent layers. However, development bond is rarely studied systematically. In this paper, research status EBCs introduced detail, including materials deposition methods. Thus far, Si, modified‐Si, mullite, etc., have been employed as coats. Nevertheless, visible drawbacks each coat limit...
Gd and Yb co-doped YSZ (GdYb-YSZ) is one of the potential ultra-high temperature thermal barrier coatings due to its excellent properties. GdYb-YSZ nanostructured were prepared using atmospheric plasma spraying, deposition mechanism, conductivity, sintering behavior at 1400 °C systemically investigated. The results showed that plasma-sprayed coating with a typical layered structure was composed single cubic ZrO2 phase. sintered °C, defects such as micropores microcracks gradually healed....
Degradation of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) caused by calcium-magnesium-alumina-silica (CMAS) glassy penetration is becoming an urgent issue for TBCs industrial applications. In this work, yttrium aluminum garnet (Y3Al5O12, YAG) nano-powders were synthesized through a chemical co-precipitation route. The resistance YAG ceramic to CMAS infiltration at 1250 °C was evaluated. bulk sintered 1700 10 h comprised single garnet-type Y3Al5O12 phase. molten glass suppressed on the surface °C. A...
A high-efficiency drug delivery system has been successfully constructed based on visible-light triggered binding and releasing between tetra-ortho-methoxy-substituted azobenzene (mAzo) β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles. The efficiency is calculated to be 56%. visible-light-triggered may afford great potential for cancer therapy.
