DEAD-box RNA helicases (DBRHs) modulate secondary structure, allowing molecules to adopt the conformations required for interaction with their target proteins. RH50 is a chloroplast-located DBRH that colocalizes and coexpressed GUN1, central factor in chloroplast-to-nucleus signaling. When combined mutations impair plastid gene expression (prors1-1, prpl11-1, prps1-1, prps21-1, prps17-1, prpl24-1), rh50 gun1 evoke similar patterns of epistatic effects. These observations, together...

Apis mellifera (Linnaeus), the Western European honey bee, is considered extinct in wild over most of its range due largely to hybridisation and replacement by other subspecies, parasitism Varroa destructor, habitat loss, effects from agricultural pesticides. The purity subspecies within managed cohort also at risk much range. Here, we investigated if bee colonies inhabited locations outside apiaries. In those located, explored how long colony persisted genotypes bees using multiple markers....

Biogenesis of chloroplasts in higher plants is initiated from proplastids, and involves a series processes by which plastid able to perform photosynthesis, synthesizes amino acids, lipids phytohormones formed. All protein complexes are composed subunits encoded the nucleus chloroplast genomes, require coordinated gene expression produce correct concentrations organellar proteins maintain organelle function. To achieve this, hundreds nucleus-encoded factors imported into control expression....

Abstract Several elicitors, stimulating induced resistance mechanisms, have potential in preventing or mitigating pathogen infections. Some of these compounds, triggering the production jasmonic acid (JA), a precursor herbivore-induced plant volatiles, could also play central role indirect to pest species, by improving beneficial arthropod performance, and necrotrophic pathogens. In current work, Trichoderma gamsii / T. asperellum silica gel treatments – alone combination were studied...

We relate and discuss the application of a monitoring-baiting program with IGR hexaflumuron to termite control in Bagnacavallo (Ravenna, Northern Italy), where massive Reticulitermes urbis infestation existed old town. Termite was carried out different zones over period 15 years, starting from centre infested area extending towards peripheral areas. The treatment succeeded eliminating termites town, using total 63 g hexaflumuron.

The present paper presents an application of the Triple Mark Recapture technique on two Italian populations subterranean termite (Reticulitermes lucifugus). Two large infested areas in historical center town Bagnacavallo (Ravenna) were chosen. dye markers utilized, Nile Blue A or Neutral Red respectively for sites. first population was estimated at 1,085,000 ± 92,000 insects, foraging a surface 1500 m2; second, smaller, has been to be 640,000 33,000 area 675 m2. Crop yield and plant products quality are directly or indirectly affected by climate alterations. Adverse climatic conditions often promote the occurrence of different abiotic stresses, which can reduce enhance susceptibility to pests pathogens. Aflatoxin producing fungi, in particular, whose diffusion deleterious consequences on cereals commodities have been demonstrated highly depend temperature humidity that threaten increasingly larger areas.
