Ethnic differences in outcomes among children with nephrotic syndrome are unknown. We conducted a longitudinal study at single regional pediatric center comparing ethnic incidence from 2001 to 2011 census data and outcomes, including relapse rates, time first relapse, frequently relapsing disease, use of cyclophosphamide. Among 711 children, 24% were European, 33% South Asian, 10% East/Southeast other origins.Over 10 years, the overall increased 1.99/100,000 4.71/100,000 ages 1-18 years old....

Abstract Considerable promise and excitement exist in the application of environmental DNA (eDNA) methods to monitoring species inventories as eDNA can provide cost‐effective accurate biodiversity information. However, considerable variation data quality, rigor, reliability has eroded confidence is limiting regulatory policy uptake. Substantial effort gone into promoting transparency reporting deriving standardized frameworks for field workflow components, but surprisingly little scrutiny...

Kidney transplantation is an optimal therapy for pediatric patients with end-stage kidney disease. This pilot study sought to examine multidimensional QOL outcomes after transplant using VAQOL and General Health, the PedsQL 4.0, End Stage Renal Disease Module, Impact on Family Module. Sample included 12 adolescents aged 13-18 yr their parent; three children eight six parents of two seven yr. All were 73 months post transplant. The median age at was 9.3 time since 3.2 mean 7.7/10 (child...

Azo dyes are the most commonly used type of dye, accounting for 60-70% all organic dye production worldwide. They as direct in textile, leather, printing ink, and cosmetic industries. The aim this study was to assess lethal sublethal effects disazo Disperse Yellow 7 (DY7) frogs address a knowledge gap regarding mechanisms toxicity potential endocrine disrupting properties. BackgroundThere are conflicting reports regarding the effects of atrazine (ATZ) on amphibian development. Therefore, further studies needed to examine potential mechanisms action ATZ in amphibians.ObjectivesOur aim this study was determine whether low concentrations affect gonadal development and metamorphosis Northern leopard frog, Rana pipiens.MethodsTadpoles were exposed outdoor mesocosms nominal 0.1 1.8 μg/L formulated from Gosner stage 27 (G27) metamorphic climax (G42).
