Abstract The global manufacturing sector heavily relies on the textile industry, yet widespread utilization of synthetic dyes within this has raised serious environmental apprehensions, notably regarding wastewater contamination. release untreated containing residual poses a significant risk to both aquatic ecosystems and human well‐being. In reaction issue, considerable efforts have been made develop efficient sustainable methods for removal from wastewater. This comprehensive review paper...
The discharge of large quantities organic dyes into the environment causes significant harm to humans and environment. Thus, there is an urgent need develop cost-effective adsorbents for removing these dyes. In present study, synthesis activated carbon (AC) derived from mixed fish scale waste using KOH activation was investigated Congo red (CR) dye removal. finding shows that obtained biocarbon has a fixed 42.9% with crystallinity index 15.01%. N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm found be type...
An efficient one-pot method for the synthesis of cyanamides from dithiocarbamate salts via a double desulfurization strategy using molecular iodine is disclosed. Dithiocarbamates, by action yield isothiocyanates in situ, which on treatment with aqueous NH3 give thioureas. The thioureas so generated undergo further oxidative I2 giving corresponding good yields. Environmental benignity, cost effectiveness and high yields are important attributes this one pot procedure.
Abstract We have developed a ligand‐assisted copper(I)‐catalyzed two sequential heteroarylation sequence. An intramolecular S ‐arylation is followed by an intermolecular N leading to the direct synthesis of ‐aryl‐2‐aminobenzothiazoles. In most cases however, 2‐arylsulfanyl‐arylcyanamide was major product obtained via CS bond formation, associated with breakage, ‐arylation. The selectivity this reaction quite different as compared that ligand‐free reactions and rates are much faster giving...
We report here an improved procedure for the synthesis of isothiocyanates from corresponding dithiocarbamic acid salts via a desulfurization strategy using molecular iodine and sodium bicarbonate in water/ethyl acetate biphasic medium. The reagents used are easily available, non-toxic, cheap. High environmental acceptability reagents, cost effectiveness, high yields important attributes this methodology.
A straightforward, efficient and sustainable method for the synthesis of 2-aminobenzothiazoles has been achieved from in situ generated 2-halothioureas using copper(I) catalyst water. The present study demonstrates that copper iodide (CuI) exhibits better efficiency water towards intramolecular S-arylation compared to organic solvents. While (o-iodoaryl) thioureas are smoothly converted desired product high yields with only catalytic quantity CuI, addition base ligand essential bromo chloro...
Abstract The main emphasis of this study was to assess the status drinking water quality from four different sources available in and around an institutional campus Lumami, Nagaland University, with special reference detection trace heavy metal elements. results physico-chemical parameters show that values DO, BOD 5 free CO 2 at S3 are beyond permissible limit set by WHO BIS. DO all three stations (S1, S2 S4) near maximum water, indicating deterioration quality, whereas rests below Hg along...
All approved coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines in current use are safe, effective, and reduce the risk of severe illness. Although data on immunological presentation patients with COVID-19 is limited, increasing experimental evidence supports significant contribution B T cells towards resolution acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Despite availability several high efficacy, more effective still needed to protect against new variants SARS-CoV-2. Employing a...
Abstract An environmentally benign reaction is devised for the synthesis of cyanamides from dithiocarbamate salts using iodine and H2O2.
Treatment of the preformed or in situ generated aryl/alkyl dithiocarbamates triethylammonium salt (ArNHCSS−.Et3NH+) with methyl acrylate an aqueous medium gave solely arylisothiocyanate (ArNCS), whereas aryl dithiocarbamic acid (ArNHCSS−.H+) yielded exclusively thia-Michael adduct (ArNHCSSCH2CH2COOMe). This differential reactivity can be explained by two alternative mechanisms which is dependent both on nature counter cation and pH reaction medium. Irrespective cations, thiocarbonyl sulfur...
A new reagent, ethyltriphenyl phosphonium tribromide (ETPPTB), has been synthesized and studied. Results show that the reagent is quite efficient for various reactions such as organic bominations, acylations, isothiocyanate preparation.
This study describes the use of a novel activated carbon (AC) adsorbent produced from pig hoove waste for effective removal Methyl Green (MG) aqueous solutions. The AC, synthesized through KOH activation, boasts substantial surface area 334.031 m2/g and total pore volume 0.007 cm³/g. Comprehensive characterization was performed using proximate ultimate (CHNS) analysis, BET, SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, FT-IR, XPS, TGA, particle size zeta potential zero-point charge (pHZPC). Adsorption data fit...
An efficient one-pot synthetic procedure for the preparation of bisalkyl xanthogen disulfides is achieved via oxidation in situ generated xanthate salt an aqueous condition using half equivalent molecular iodine one pot.
A simple, environmentally benign methodology has been developed to synthesize some bromoorganic compounds which have potential as antimicrobial agents. The required were obtained through microwave (MW) irradiation, on-water reactions and using cetyltrimethylammonium tribromide (CTMATB) the bromine source. high yield of product could be achieved within short reaction times, thus representing main attribute present synthetic approach. evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity against...
In an effort to study the scope of microwave radiation for organic bromination reactions, some reactions were studied using a domestic oven. Results reveal that these radiation-induced are unique in their high yields and they require extremely short reaction times compared with conventional room-temperature reactions. tetrabutyl ammonium tribromide was used as alternative brominating reagent order avoid chemical hazards associated liquid bromine (Br2). As all successfully carried out solid...
A highly efficient and simple protocol for the synthesis of isothiocyanates cyanamides from their respective amines in presence a mild, efficient, non-toxic reagent tetrapropylammonium tribromide is described. High environmental acceptability reagents, cost effectiveness high yields are important attributes this methodology.
In a simple, one-pot procedure, H2O2 has been utilised for the synthesis of unsymmetrical ureas from thioureas obtained by reaction aryl isothiocyanates with aliphatic secondary amines. The proceeds via formation thioamido guanidino moiety (the anti-Hugerschoff product) which then undergoes further oxidative desulfurization in presence excess to afford desired product. scope this phosgene free urea extended various substrates.
