This paper introduces a methodology for processing continuous monitoring device data, such as data from wearable digital or telemetered to estimate outcomes like systolic blood pressure treatment effects. One of the challenges analyzing this type is find suitable binning scaling compress information improving outcome predictions. Another challenge select and weight features be included in computational model. The new consists combination feature selection weighting incorporated into LASSO...
The process of rural-to-urban migration in China is accelerating with increased modernization and industrialization. To address the issues health outcomes geographic mobility among this population, data from 4,208 migrants two major metropolitans were analyzed. Results indicate that average duration was 4.3 years, younger being more mobile than their older counterparts. After controlling for possible confounders, increases associated unstable living arrangements, substandard employment...
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to maximize the expected revenue outpatient department considering patient preferences and choices. Design/methodology/approach Patient preference refers preferred physician time slot that patients hold before asking for appointments. choice appointment decision made after receiving a set options from scheduler. relationship between choices explored. A dynamic programming (DP) model formulated optimize scheduling with DP transformed an equivalent linear...
Patients' satisfaction while receiving medical service is affected by whether or not their preferences can be met, including time and physician preference. Due to scarcity of resource in China, efficient use available resources urgently required. To guarantee the utilization ratio, scheduling decisions are made after all booking information received. Two integer models with different objectives formulated separately, maximizing degree revenue. The optimal value two considered as bound...
Background . Due to the high maintenance costs, it is critical make full use of operating rooms (ORs). Operative duration an important factor that guides research on surgery scheduling. Clinical effects, for example, type, rationally influences operative duration. In this study, we also investigate whether planning and scheduling decisions in ORs influence Methods For our collected reviewed data 2,451 thoracic operations from a large hospital China. The study was conducted over period 34...
Operating rooms (ORs) account for a significant proportion of the costs maintaining hospital. Surgery scheduling is optimised to reduce in ORs. However, an important issue that directly affects surgery often neglected, i.e. surgeon collaboration. In reality, requires two surgeons: main and assistant. The one might be assigned as assistant another surgery. Thus, this paper proposes two-stage robust model considers such collaborations. Stage 1, it determines allocations assignments, while 2,...
In the present paper, we establish an elliptic interpolation formula with help of $(f,g)$-inversion formula. As applications, some basic theta function identities are presented, including equivalent algebraic form Weierstrass' identity.
Hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] is a common human carcinogen associated with lung cancer and other pulmonary diseases as exposure to excessive Cr(VI) induces malignant transformation in epithelial cells. The mechanism underlying its carcinogenicity unclear terms of how it facilitates metastases. compounds are reported briefly promote cell migration concentration-dependent manner oncogene liver kinase B1 (LKB1) was reduced Cr(VI)-transformed Overexpression LKB1 Beas-2B-Cr [Cr(VI) malignantly...
The high costs of operating rooms (ORs) make surgery scheduling decisions critical for hospitals, which refer to resource allocations and determining the start time each surgery. We take into account an important issue that could affect decisions, ie., assistant surgeons. room problem is considered as a two-stage problem. first stage refers allocations, including allocating surgeries ORs assigning surgeons surgeries, while determined in second stage. robustness model tractable way. develop...
In the present paper, by establishing a general transformation via use of some basic transformations for ${}_8\phi _7$ series, we show certain equivalency Baileyâs fundamental summation formula bilateral very-well-poised $_6\psi _6$ series and Weierstrassâ theta function identity.
A model of scheduling grouped jobs on identical parallel machines is discussed. The assumes that a set-up time incurred when machine changes from processing one type parts to different parts, and the objective minimize total flow time. algorithm fuzzy logic embedded genetic developed solve problem. efficiency this approach tested several groups random problems shows soft computing has potential for practical applications in larger scale production systems.
In this paper, we investigate applications of the ordinary derivative operator, instead $q$-derivative to theory $q$-series. As main results, many new summation and transformation formulas are established which closely related some well-known such as $q$-binomial theorem, Ramanujan's ${}_1\psi_1$ formula, quintuple product identity, Gasper's $q$-Clausen Rogers' ${}_6\phi_5$ etc. Among these results is a finite form Rogers-Ramanujan identity short way Eisenstein's theorem on Lambert series.
With the use of $(f,g)$-matrix inversion under specializations that $f=1-xy,g=y-x$, we establish an $(1-xy,y-x)$-expansion formula. When specialized to basic hypergeometric series, this formula leads us some expansion formulas expressing any ${}_{r}ϕ_{s}$ series in variable $x~t$ terms a linear combination ${}_{r+2}ϕ_{s+1}$ $t$, as well various specifications. All these results can be regarded common generalizations many konwn setting $q$-series. As specific applications, new transformation...
