A universal post-compensation scheme for fiber impairments in wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) systems is proposed based on coherent detection and digital signal processing (DSP). Transmission of 10 x Gbit/s binary-phase-shift-keying (BPSK) signals at a channel spacing 20 GHz over 800 km dispersion shifted (DSF) has been demonstrated numerically.

To investigate the dynamic tensile mechanical properties of red sandstone under varying impact pulse widths and amplitudes, we employed response surface methodology to examine characteristics different bullet lengths velocities. Subsequently, a damage constitutive model for was developed. Macroscopic microscopic features were analyzed through digital image correlation (DIC) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) experiments. Additionally, ANSYS software utilized analyze stress wave controlled...

To further improve the hardness of laser cladding layer on surface vermicular graphite cast iron, structural parameters Co-base were designed and optimized, properties clad evaluated using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron (SEM), energy spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), electrochemical workstation, friction wear equipment. The results show that average molten Ni Co-based composite is 504 HV0.5, which 0.64 times due to combined factors Ni-Cr-Fe equivalent dilution...

An all-optical carrier synchronization (carrier-phase and polarization recovery) scheme from binary phase-shift keying signals is proposed demonstrated for the first time. The uses a degenerate optical parametric oscillator which has phase-sensitive amplifier as gain block.

The reliability analysis of complex repairable systems is an important but computationally intensive task that requires fitting the failure data whole life cycles well. Because existing models are mainly based on assumptions either unrepairable or will go through "as good as new"type repair which does not describe actual situations effectively and precisely, a two-segment intensity model sectional non-homogeneous Poisson process developed. This capable analyzing with bathtub-shaped...

Fiber transmission of optical differential 8-level phase-shift keying (OD8PSK) signals is demonstrated for the first time. Co-polarized 8 WDM channels 10 Giga-symbol/s or 30 Gb/s return-to-zero (RZ) OD8PSK with a channel spacing 50 GHz were transmitted over 320 km standard single mode fiber (SSMF) an EDFA 80 km. The BER worst after was 2.3x10-5.
