The effect of a ferrite/mixed phase banded structure on the fatigue crack growth behavior pipeline steel has been investigated in this work. Constant stress-controlled tests were carried out unilateral notch specimens longitudinal direction (LD) and transverse (TD). strain accumulation was measured by digital image correlation (DIC) method fracture morphology analyzed. results show that LD would cause wide range deflections, especially early stage growth, which lower rate compared to TD. At...

A gray change detection method has been proposed to monitor damage in materials. The normalized parameter C defined by the displacement and level value, which can reflect of each pixel point region interest image. zero deformation experiment done discuss feature caused many factors except damage. results show that local expanded regions with concentrations be considered as regions. uniaxial tensile experiments for an artificial rock specimen a polycarbonate have verify performance method. is...

With the development of national economy and improvement people's living standards, the problem environmental vibrations has been more concerned. The traffic-induced can propagate through surrounding soil, inducing secondary noises nearby buildings, which have considerable effect on safety structure, routine life work residents in buildings along traffic-lines. In order to predict vibration building induced by train, model train-track-soil-interface-building system is established based...

This paper studied on micro/macro-structure of porous bio-ceramics with hierarchical structures in different scales. Established the connection between micro and macro pores, results show that increment porosity micro-structure, solid material effective property macro-structure increased it is influenced by arrangement. Then preparation process, defects such as cracks are easy to be introduced, at level, based principle extended finite element method, containing cracks, prediction crack...

Based on the principle of quadrilateral element digital image correlation (Q-DIC) method, this paper proposes one Q-DIC which takes region used to calculation as finite method (FEM). Simulated images are verify accuracy method. Since pixel points with maximum error located at node or boundary element, measured deformation core area (area surrounding center point a smaller size) is taken reliable value. Comparison various displacement hypotheses shows that key improve measurement choosing...

Extended finite element method (X-FEM) is a new to solve the discontinuous problems, basic theory of XFEM presented in this paper, then X-FEM used simulate crack growth process hydroxyapatite material by three points bending test, and its deformation stress field distribution analyzed. The numerical results show effectiveness method, mesh extended independent internal geometry physical interfaces, such that trouble high density meshing re-meshing can be avoided. This greatly simplifies...
