Recent studies reveal that carbon nanostructures show anomalous piezoelectric properties when the central symmetry of their structure is violated. Particular focus given to nanotubes (CNTs) with initial significant curvature graphene sheet surface, which leads an asymmetric redistribution electron density. This paper presents results on aligned multi-walled CNTs. An original technique for evaluating effective coefficient CNTs presented. For first time, in this study, we investigate influence...

We have created an ionization type Vacuum gauge with sensor element based on array of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes. Obtained asymmetrical current-voltage characteristics at different voltage polarity the electrode CNTs. It was found that when applying a negative potential CNTs, current in gap is higher than positive potential. In pressure range 1 ÷ 103 Torr vacuum sensitivity 6 mV/Torr (at 4.5·10-5 A) and 10-5 10 1.3·10-5 A). shown energy efficiency can be increased case where CNT...

The work is dedicated toward studying the methods for correcting frequency characteristics of a passive transmission path strip-line or coplanar microwave line, equipped by split double concentric ring resonator on section reverse side printed circuit board (plate). This correction carried out rotation around center rings (or an axis passing through this point and perpendicular to plane substrate) both constituent elements separately whole resonant structure.

Problems on nearly full contact between elastic bodies with nominally flat rough boundaries are considered, so that only relatively small crack-like no-contact areas present. Such a case is of essential applied interest and has been considerably less examined than the comparatively areas, when sparsely located "contact spots" appear. This may really appear under sufficiently large loads appropriate roughness compliance conditions (e.g. metallic polymeric materials contact) or it be regarded...
