Structures of the human lysosomal K + channel transmembrane protein 175 (TMEM175) in open and closed states revealed a novel architecture lacking canonical selectivity filter motif present previously known structures. A hydrophobic constriction composed four isoleucine residues was resolved pore proposed to serve as gate state, confer ion state. Here, we achieve higher-resolution structures employ molecular dynamics simulations analyze conducting properties putative demonstrating that it is...

Abstract Background Acute lung injury (ALI), including its most severe form, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), is a common cause of hypoxemic failure. Although clinical characteristics have been well characterized, the relevant mechanism remains unclear. An imbalance in autophagy leads to alveolar remodeling and triggers pathogenesis ARDS. In this study, we assessed therapeutic efficacy STAT1 inhibitor fludarabine (Fluda) ALI. C57BL6 mice were exposed lipopolysaccharide (LPS),...

Abstract Zr‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) were modified with pendant tetrazole ligands for proton conductivity studies. Although tetrazolate coordinated to metal cations have been widely utilized construct MOFs or porous coordination polymers, date, the use of uncoordinated groups in has limited. In this study, a benzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylic acid (BDC‐N 4 ) was synthesized and used prepare UiO‐66 MOF using mixed‐ligand strategy. The tetrazole‐functionalized UiO‐66‐N compared containing...

Obesity is a major risk factor for metabolic syndrome and serious health concern worldwide. Various strategies exist to treat prevent obesity, including dietary approaches using bioactive ingredients from natural sources. This study aimed investigate the anti-obesity effect of whole-plant Allium macrostemon (also called as long-stamen chive) extract (AME) potential new functional food.C57BL/6N mice were divided into three groups fed either control diet (CD), high-fat (HFD), or HFD with AME...

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb. extract (APLE) on lipopolysaccharide‐ (LPS‐) induced cell damage in hepatocytes with a focus antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory activities. Total activities APLE itself were analyzed phytochemical analysis was performed. Moreover, inhibitory effects LPS‐induced oxidative stress inflammation assessed human HepG2 hepatocytes. found exert α , ‐diphenyl‐ β ‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH),...

A rapid and specific PCR assay for the simultaneous detection of Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Bacillus cereus, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus in foods was developed to reduce time increase sensitivity. Multiplex this study produced only actA, fliC, hbl, invA, ileS amplicons, but did not produce any non-specific amplicon. The primer sets successfully amplified target genes multiplex without or additional bands on other strains. assays also some from five...

Sarcopenia is a progressive muscle disease characterized by the loss of skeletal mass, strength, function, and physical performance. Since code was assigned, attention has been focused on natural products that can protect against atrophy. Cibotium barometz (Cibotium Rhizome) used as an herbal medicine for treatment bone or joint diseases in Asian countries. However, no studies have identified mechanism action Rhizome atrophy related to sarcopenia at site myotubes. The aim this study...

This research is aged 65 or older with chronic pain and...
