Origami-based mechanical metamaterials and metastructure have been demonstrated to exhibit unique properties originating from their intricate geometries of folding. This research aims extend the current investigation level quasistatics dynamics. In detail, this focuses on wave dynamics a composed stacked Miura-origami (SMO) units. The SMO unit could possess two stable configurations, endowing with rich possibilities in layout its periodic repeating cell. Through linear dispersion analyses...

232Th/233U fuel cycle is an alternate candidate for future nuclear energy. Neutron-induced fission cross section of 232Th one the important data if using thorium as in future. 232Th(n, f) sections from 1 to 300 MeV were measured at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-streaming neutron facility (Back-n) relative 235U(n, and n-p scattering. A fast ionization chamber measurement (FIXM) a proton recoil telescope (PRT) used perform measurement. The energy this reaches up which supposed be...

Herein, this study contributes significantly to the advancement of continuum manipulators in two main aspects. First, a modularization concept and hybrid actuation scheme create novel origami manipulator with exceptional deformability are introduced. Second, an accurate model framework for forward inverse kinematic analysis proposed. Specifically, each module can achieve axial extension bending deformation by coordinated shape memory alloy (SMA) pneumatic muscles, manipulator's end is...

Precast buildings have been becoming popular in China these 5 years since they many merits such as effectiveness, safety, high quality, and environmental friendliness. In some cities of China, it is required to make the proportion precast account for 30% newly built construction areas. Following rapid development, their vibration behaviors are attracting more attention may be quite different from cast-in-situ building. To investigate difference, this paper studies modal properties two kinds...
