This paper applies the GARCH‐MIDAS model to examine whether information contained in global economic policy uncertainty (GEPU) can help predict short‐ and long‐term components of gold futures return variance. Our results show that GEPU positively significantly forecasts future monthly volatilities for aggregate market. The forecasting power remains strong an out‐of‐sample setting. Moreover, further tests with realized volatility outperforms all other specifications, indicating including...

Abstract Prodrug‐based self‐assembled nanoparticles (PSNs) with tailored responses to tumor microenvironments show a significant promise for chemodynamic therapy (CDT) by generating highly toxic reactive oxygen species (ROS). However, the insufficient level of intracellular ROS and limited drug accumulation remain major challenges further clinical transformation. In this study, PSNs delivery artesunate (ARS) are demonstrated designing pH‐responsive ARS‐4‐hydroxybenzoyl hydrazide...

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the curvilinear relationship between knowledge leadership and hiding moderating role psychological ownership on influencing relationship. Design/methodology/approach In total, 403 data were collected from participants in a high-technology company via two-wave survey. Hierarchical regression analyses used test hypotheses. Findings Results revealed an inverted U-shaped hiding. employees exhibited more moderate level than lower higher levels...

Abstract Cells use self‐assembled biomaterials such as lipid membranes or proteinaceous shells to coordinate thousands of reactions that simultaneously take place within crowded spaces. However, mimicking spatial organization for synthetic applications in engineered systems remains a challenge, resulting inferior catalytic efficiency. In this work, we show protein cages an ideal scaffold organize enzymes enhance cascade both vitro and living cells. We demonstrate not only enzyme‐enzyme...

Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) benefiting from its intrinsic merits, such as noninvasiveness and deep tissue penetrability, is receiving increasing considerable attention in reactive oxygen species (ROS)-based tumor treatment. However, current sonosensitizers usually suffer low lesion accumulation, insufficient ROS generation efficiency under ultrasound, non-biodegradability, which seriously impede the therapeutic outcomes. Additionally, it difficult that SDT alone can completely eradicate tumors...

Abstract The Chinese futures markets are among the fastest growing in world. In terms of trading volume, soybean market is world's second largest, while China's copper and aluminum third largest size markets, however, not matched by academic research on them. This article first to study relationship between world copper, aluminum, wheat, using Johansen's cointegration test, error correction model, Granger causality test impulse response analyses. We find that prices Shanghai Futures Exchange...

Long-run purchasing power parity (PPP) for five countries participating in the European Monetary System (EMS) during recent floating exchange rate period is studied. Using new econometric techniques, evidence found supporting long-run parity. Moreover, PPP relationship generally stable throughout since dissolution of Bretton-Woods period, even with advent System. Frequent realignments within EMS may have served to maintain competitiveness between member countries.

Combination therapy has been widely studied due to its promising applications in tumor therapy. However, a sophisticated nanoplatform and sequential irradiation with different laser sources for phototherapy complicate the treatment process. Unlike integration of therapeutic agents, we report FeS2@SRF@BSA combination chemo-combined photothermal (PTT) enhanced photodynamic (PDT) chemodynamic (CDT) achieve an "all-in-one" agent. Ultrasmall FeS2 nanoparticles (NPs) size 7 nm exhibited higher...

Mixing cationic polymer chains with anionic DNA in solution results the polymer/DNA complexes (also known as polyplexes). We recently confirmed that it is those noncomplexed free mixture promote gene transfection, leading to a hypothesis: adsorbed on various membranes interfere signal protein interaction, disrupt intervesicular fusion, and block endolysosome pathway so plasmid (pDNA) have higher chance enter nucleus. Accordingly, we design synthesize linear cationic–hydrophobic–cationic...

Despite its cytotoxicity, polyethylenimine (PEI) is still used as a golden reference in gene transfection. Long PEI chains are more effective but also cytotoxic. To solve this problem, an alternative strategy to link short into longer with disulfide bonds because they degradable the cell. However, how promotes transfection unclear. Also, chain length of increased formed. Therefore, it important investigate whether increase efficiency attributable linkage, size, or both. distinguish between...
