Clb1 and Clb2 are functionally redundant B-type cyclins, the clb1Δ clb2Δ double mutant is lethal. In normal mitotic growth, plays central role in G2-M progression. We previously demonstrated that RNA-binding protein Puf5 positively regulates CLB1 expression by downregulating of repressor Ixr1. The decreased puf5Δ mutation caused a severe growth defect mutant. On contrary, CLB2 was unchanged between wild-type strain unsynchronized cultures, did not show retardation. Therefore, we assumed main...

We fabricated and experimentally investigated a nanostructure known as quantum-well (QW) microtube, which is fine tube with micron- or nanometer-order diameter by rolling semiconductor GaAs QW. Although the wall thickness only 40 nm, system retains quantum properties of QW, photoluminescence from QW subband can be clearly observed. Even though width sufficiently small to make type-II band-aligned, type-I transition caused uniaxial strain in microtube allows for optical emission.

Abstract Ti–Ni–Si glassy alloy supercapacitors, devices that store electric charge on their TiO 2 surfaces contain many nanometer‐sized cavities, display advantages over other power‐source technologies. The use of de‐alloying and anodic oxidization methods has made possible the synthesis a surface accessible to electron trapping. Until recently, no studies have addressed “dry” storage in light alloys. Our device realizes AC from 193 453 K with voltage variation 10 150 V, DC capacitance ∼4.8...
