To improve the selectivity, delivery, and activity of ferric (Fe) anticancer agents, we design prodrugs based on N-donor residues human serum albumin (HSA) carrier IIA subdomain. We synthesized six Fe(III) compounds derived from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (7-12). HSA complex structure revealed that Fe compound binds to hydrophobic cavity in Lys199 His242 replace two Cl atoms compound, coordinating with Fe(3+). In vivo data 12 HSA-12 inhibit growth liver tumor has stronger...
Legionella pneumophila plays an important role in human infection. Commercial ELISA kits commonly used, which take whole-cell protein as the coating antigen, often have cross-reactivity among serogroups or species. In this study, five proteins FLA, MOMP, MIP, IP, and PILE were purified further applied serological diagnosis of infections compared with R & D kits. The recombinant plasmids pET-fla, pET-momp, pET-mip, pET-ip, pET-pile transformed into E. coli BL21 then induced them IPTG. The...
<title>Abstract</title> Background With the popularisation of video laryngoscopy, difficulty tracheal intubation has greatly reduced. This study explored suitability traditional airway assessment methods for using laryngoscopy. Methods A total 1047 patients undergoing general anaesthesia were enrolled. Before anaesthesia, body mass index (BMI) was measured. Traditional such as modified Mallampati classification (MMC), upper lip bite test (ULBT), thyromental distance (TMD), mouth opening...
Compared with traditional news media, microblog holds overwhelming superiority in fast-diffusion and comprehensive coverage of topics. Microblog becomes an effective, particular important carrier affair information many other text analysis tasks, e.g., event discovering based on have special significance. Common tools content analysis, such as topic model, however, experience severe data sparsity problems due to short length microblog. Following previous researchers' idea, separating...
To investigate the genotypes of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-baumannii, 100 strains calcoaceticus-baumannii collected from a clinical setting were analyzed by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique. Fingerprints these generated extracted image segmentation. obtain optimal multilevel thresholds segmentation, an artificial immune network for fast fuzzy clustering was used. Experimental results indicated that RAPD fingerprints classified into 17 described genomic species. Among them,...
