Background. Diseases and pests cause great damage to barley stands harvests. Harvest losses from harmful organisms reach 25–30%. Materials methods . During 2017–2020, 46 spring cultivars the VIR collection, listed in State Register for Selection Achievements, were studied their resistance fritfly, net spot blotches, brown rust, powdery mildew. The tests carried out field with provocative colonization by fritfly under natural infection pressure of leaf pathogens. Results conclusions. In 2017,...

Genetic resistance to net form of blotch in the international barley differential Canadian Lake Shore (CLS) was characterized and mapped. A doubled haploid (DH) population generated from a cross between CLS susceptible cultivar Harrington evaluated at seedling stage using eight diverse Pyrenophora teres f. (Ptt) isolates adult field natural inoculum. To effectively map resistance, comparative marker frequency analysis (MFA) performed 8,762 polymorphic DArT-seq markers, where 'resistant'...

Donors of resistance common wheat to stem rust race Ug99 (breeding lines GT 96/90, 113/00i-4 and 119/4-06rw) are involved in cross breeding with the use step crossing backcrossing method. While developing hybrids spring mode life, donor (Sr2, Sr36, Sr39, Sr40, Sr44, Sr47) accession 145/05i, which is resistant leaf under conditions RF Central Region but susceptible Ug99, were used for backcrossing, 137 individual plants homozygotic state alleles 2–5 genes selected from obtained hybrid...

Introduction. Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) is an indirect method of body composition assessment. The equipment for BIA measurements produced in many countries including Russia and may differ electrical current frequencies, measurement schemes built-in algorithms the evaluation composition. In view this, estimates from various instruments be inconsistent which limits ability to combine generalize data. Our purpose was analyze consistency possibility joint use data obtained using...

The need for new donors of resistance to aggressive race Ug99 Puccinia graminis Pers. f. sp. tritici Eriks. et Henn has arisen because the pest approaches territory Russian Federation. Identification seventeen known Sr genes was performed with use molecular markers in six sources stem rust Ug99. They included five common wheat lines and Donskaya Polukarlikovaya cv. investigated accessions carried genetic material alien species (Aegilops speltoides, Aе. triuncialis, Secale cereale). Early-maturing lines L-1610 and L-1611 developed selected as high-yielding at the Leningrad Research Institute of Agriculture "Belogorka" were studied Kotlas Breeding Experimental Station (Arkhangelsk region). As result study in Kotlas, line was identified early-maturing (76-80 days), (5.6 t/ga), with large grain (1000 weight: 51.3 g), high resistance to lodging (9-7 points). Due its sensitivity unstable productivity some years, removed from test.
