Background: The ${}^{3}$He${(\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{\gamma})}^{7}$Be reaction is important for the neutrino production in sun's core and of ${}^{7}$Li during big bang nucleosynthesis. mechanism characterized by a strong direct capture component nearby broad unbound resonance levels.Purpose: Recent experiments have opened up new energy window into it becomes more evident that, order to understand shape $S$ factor, theoretical calculations need take account possible contributions from...

It is a well-known fact that cluster of nucleons can be formed in the interior an atomic nucleus, and such clusters may occupy molecular-like orbitals, showing characteristics similar to normal molecules consisting atoms. Chemical having linear alignment are commonly seen nature, as carbon dioxide. A nuclear clusters, referred linear-chain state (LCCS), has been studied since 1950s, however, up now there no clear experimental evidence demonstrating existence state. Recently, it was proposed...

The development and use of ceramic alloys have created the potential for variation in color dental porcelain. In order to define nature alterations, it is necessary examine quantitatively porcelain baked onto alloys. purpose this study was spectrometrically where differences occur fabrication process. One shade Vita coupons three (high gold, palladium-silver, base metal). Eight replications were made each alloy at seven steps: prepared metal, oxide, first opaque, second dentin, glaze....

We present the first direct measurement of an astrophysical reaction using a radioactive beam isomeric nuclei. In particular, we have measured strength key 447-keV resonance in ^{26m}Al(p,γ)^{27}Si to be 432_{-226}^{+146} meV and find that this dominates thermally averaged rate for temperatures between 0.3 2.5 GK. This work represents critical development resolving one longest standing issues nuclear astrophysics research, relating proton capture reactions on excited quantum levels, offers...

Small-angle neutron diffraction (wavelength 4.05 angstroms) of human and rabbit sciatic nerve has been carried out by means the Brookhaven high flux beam reactor with an automated slit camera. Most free water nerves was substituted in order to minimize incoherent scatter hydrogen atoms. The differences amplitude phase shifts between neutrons x-rays resulted a pattern that completely different from x-ray pattern. consisted single peak about 89-angstrom spacing region examined (up 6-angstrom...

The rate of the 18F(p,γ)19Ne reaction affects final abundance γ-ray observable radioisotope 18F, produced in novae. However, no successful measurement this exists and used is calculated from incomplete information on contributing resonances. Of two resonances thought to play a significant role, one has radiative width estimated assumed analogue state mirror nucleus, 19F. second does not have an assignment at all, resulting arbitrary being assumed. Here, we report first direct 18F(p,γ)^19Ne...

Abstract Conventional finishing and polishing techniques used to prepare Vitallium subperiosteal dental implant castings were found produce low energy surfaces as measured by critical surface tension. Standard metallographic preparation gave slightly higher values. Glow discharge cleaning of both types polished much tension This suggests the presence an organic film after which may later affect tissue reaction, in particular attachment, has been noticed related animal studies.

26Al is an important radioisotope in astrophysics that provides evidence of ongoing nucleosynthesis the Galaxy. The 23Na(α, p)26Mg reaction has been identified by a sensitivity study as being one most reactions for production convective C/Ne burning shell massive stars. Owing to large uncertainties previous experimental data, model calculations are used rate this study. Current data suggest factor ∼40 higher than calculations. However, new measurement cross section made inverse kinematics...

We have performed the first direct measurement of $^{38}\mathrm{K}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma})^{39}\mathrm{Ca}$ reaction using a beam radioactive $^{38}\mathrm{K}$. A proposed $\ensuremath{\ell}=0$ resonance in $^{38}\mathrm{K}+p$ system has been identified at 679(2) keV with an associated strength ${120}_{\ensuremath{-}30}^{+50}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{meV}$. Upper limits 1.16 (3.5) and 8.6 (26) meV 68% (95%) confidence level were also established for two further expected resonances 386 515 keV,...
