When cutting flexible metal workpieces, the mechanical characteristics of fixture play a crucial role in suppressing deformation and vibration. Previously, influence design elements on workpiece vibration has been studied with aim gaining fundamental understanding phenomenon. Meanwhile, there limited research contact area between workpiece, is need for further to understand phenomenon establish guidelines fixtures. In this paper, an experimental approach proposed characterize relationship...

The damping characteristics of machine tool support system has a great influence on the rocking vibration amplitude. In our previous study, for been proposed to increase without decreasing stiffness. this damper is applied various tools. Results indicate that effective machines larger than already applied. However, coefficient can be different between even with same contact area and preload. This suggests possible confounding factor should considered when determining coefficient.

Inflammatory response induces phenotypic modulation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts. Although transforming growth factor-βs (TGF-βs) evoke such transition, the details mechanism are still unknown. Here, we report that a LIM domain protein, cysteine-and glycine-rich protein 2 (CSRP2 [CRP2]) plays vital role in functional expression profile myofibroblasts and cancer-associated (CAFs). Knock-down CRP2 severely inhibits smooth muscle cell (SMC) genes, motility, CAF-mediated collective...

The ecdysone receptor (EcR) possesses the remarkable capacity to adapt structurally different types of ligands. EcR binds ecdysteroids, including 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E), as well nonsteroidal synthetic agonists such insecticidal dibenzoylhydrazines (DBHs). Here, we report crystal structures ligand-binding domains Heliothis virescens EcR/USP bound DBH agonist BYI09181 and imidazole-type compound BYI08346. region delineated by helices H7 H10 opens up tightly fit a phenyl ring ligands an...

The acute in vitro effect of alloxan on glucagon and insulin secretion from the isolated perfused rat pancreas was examined. Alloxan alone produced transient secretion. Pretreatment with attenuated both stimulatory glucose inhibitory Exposure to varying doses either partially or completely inhibited induced by arginine presence absence glucose. On contrary, pretreatment complex effects arginine-induced In glucose, response infusion lower exposed than control experiment. however, an...

Compounds classified as benzoylphenylurea (BPU), such diflubenzuron (DFB), are used insecticides. Although BPU disrupts molting by inhibiting chitin biosynthesis and exhibits insecticidal activity, their exact mode of action remains unknown. Since epidermal cells proliferate morphologically change from squamous to columnar during the early stages insect molting, we speculate that a transition similar epithelium mesenchyme occurs may inhibit this transition. Here, addressed possibility. We...

Effect of successful treatment on plasma glucagon response to arginine was studied in patients with diabetes mellitus, Cushing's syndrome and hypothyroidism. Exaggerated infusion diabetic subjects normalized those successfully treated sulfonylureas significantly improved insulin. Patients hypothyroidism also exhibited excessive responsiveness glucagon, which were completely following treatment. The results suggest that the metabolic derangement is a main etiologic factor inducing...

Fasting significantly elevated patients with mellitus. Oral administration 50 g elicited an exaggerated rise as compared subjects. This was partially but improved after treatment, augmented insulin. These results indicate existence abnormal mellitus which is probably caused by...

The use of compensation systems can consumption room cooling systems. However, influence deformation induced by upon workpieces not clear. This paper investigates effect linear expansion coefficient difference between a machine tool and change. Machining experiments are conducted for steel aluminum workpieces. results agree with calculation.

However, conventional passive damper supports decrease increasing damping. In our previous study, viscoelastic non-linear for shear vibrations, where vertical preload determines its coefficient, was developed...
