We present results of an x-ray grazing-incidence diffraction experiment on a V${}_{2}$H(010) surface. The temperature dependence the in-plane $(h/2$ 0 -$h/2)$ superlattice reflections discloses surface critical behavior across ${\ensuremath{\beta}}_{1}$-${\ensuremath{\beta}}_{2}$ phase boundary. influence nearby bulk tricritical point expected values for exponents is briefly discussed. Using depth sensitivity evanescent scattering and by proper subtraction diffuse intensity, we determined...
The structure of stistaite ∼SbSn, was investigated by single crystal X-ray diffraction and EDX to yield a simple relation between the modulated composition. Stistaite is found be incommensurately ordered over entire stability region.
A dearomatization/aromatization strategy accesses the tetrahedral (crosslike) pentacene tetramer (tetrakis(4-((6,13-bis(TIPS-ethynyl)pentacen-2-yl)ethynyl)phenyl)silane). This molecular caltrop and one of its derivatives form amorphous thin films, demonstrating impact 3D-tetramerization on bulk morphology otherwise crystalline TIPS-pentacene.
Volatile memory devices relying on the Mott-type insulator-to-metal transition of vanadium oxide (VO2) are widely utilized in field neuromorphic computing. Such devices, however, realized a nanoscale geometry, where switching relies self-heating an ultrasmall spot as well presence extremely high electric fields active region. In this paper, we investigate interplay such thermal and nonlinear electronic phenomena by investigating temperature voltage dependent conduction properties our...
Beyond-Moore computing technologies are expected to provide a sustainable alternative the von Neumann approach not only due their down-scaling potential but also via exploiting device-level functional complexity at lowest possible energy consumption. The dynamics of Mott transition in correlated electron oxides, such as vanadium dioxide, has been identified rich and reliable source complexity. However, its full high-speed low-power operation largely unexplored. We fabricated nanoscale VO
The structures of the layered intergrowth phases Sb III Sb^{\rm V}_x A l-xTiO 6 ( x \simeq 0, = Ta, Nb) have been refined by Rietveld method, using X-ray diffraction data obtained a synchrotron source. starting models for these were derived from those III}_3Sb^{\rm 3−x TiO 14 1.26, Ta and 0.89, Nb), previously solved single-crystal diffraction. There no significant differences between final structures, validating approach used to obtain confirming that n 1 3 members family, III}_nSb^{\rm n−x...

In-situ diffraction experiments were performed on SOFC under standard operating conditions, more specifically during successive cycles of reduction and reoxidation at ~ 850 °C.The experiment was with the spiral slit set-up beamline ID15 ESRF an X-ray wavelength = 0.173 Å.The strain distribution within three constituent layers determined from distortion monitored Debye-Scherrer-rings.
