This study was conducted to know cropping cycles required improve OM status in soil and investigate the effects of medium-term tillage practices on properties crop yields Grey Terrace Bangladesh under wheat-mungbean-T. aman system. Four different practices, namely, zero (ZT), minimum (MT), conventional (CT), deep (DT), were studied a randomized complete block (RCB) design with four replications. Tillage showed positive yields. After cycles, highest accumulation, maximum root mass density...

Despite the significant fatality rates associated with Nipah virus (NiV) outbreaks in South Asia, including Bangladesh, and India, till today, there is no approved medications to treat it. In this context, small molecules propolis were computationally screened through pharmacokinetic toxicity studies followed by molecular docking dynamics simulation glycoprotein (NiV-G protein) assess their anti-Nipah potential. A thorough literature analysis was performed identify antiviral compounds from a...

This study evaluated three Trichoderma strains (T. harzianum TR05, T. virens TR06 and asperellum TR08) originating from Bangladesh as potential biological control agents against collar rot of tomato under greenhouse conditions. After seed treatment with a disease incidence (5.36%) was lower than for (34.2%) TR08 (20.8%). Germination percentage highest TR05 (90.3%). In soil treatment, inoculation resulted in the lowest (9.78%), statistically no different that (16.4%). Thus, have tomato.

An experiment was conducted to study the response of maize magnesium (Mg) and find out residual effect Mg green manure (GM) on transplanted aman (T. aman) rice in maize–GM–T. cropping pattern. There were six treatments: T1 (recommended dose fertilizer (RDF) + 0 kg 2 t CaCO3 ha−1), T2 (RDF 10 T3 20 +2 T4 30 T5 T6 (2 ha−1). The quadratic optimum found be 19 ha−1, which resulted maximum yield 10,507 ha−1. along with GM reduced chemical significant increase grain rice. Thus,...

Nineteen Trichoderma isolates, collected from different locations in Bangladesh, were characterised through phenotypic, biochemical and molecular means. Besides, they assessed for their antifungal action vitro. The isolates divided into three groups: T. asperellum, virens harzianum. A dual culture assay a filtrate against 6 phytopathogens revealed that 9 of the 19 showed significant activities. isolate harzianum TR05 highest inhibition Fusarium oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani, circinatum...

DNA fingerprinting and genetic diversity of four Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) hybrid varieties their parental lines were carried out. A total 73 microsatellite markers tested for screening the genotypes. Among amplified products, 37% had polymorphic bands showing 81 alleles. The number alleles per locus ranged from two (RM10) to eight (RM327), where average allele was 4.333. Polymorphism Information Contents (PIC) lied between 0.337 0.852 (RM327).
