Transformer efficiency is a key concern for both transformer operators and regulators, particularly with regards to new transformers. Cooling critical factor in preventing overheating controlling the ageing of insulation. This paper aims analyse how different cooling setups can influence efficiency. losses depend on winding temperature, which affected by load, ambient power. In this study, we will take all these factors into consideration examine their impact losses. Using 520 MVA as an...

Results are given concerning the two-dimensional scanning microanalysis of microsections metallographic specimens rocks. The monochromatized or white SR beam from a wiggler magnet installed at electron storage ring VEPP-3 (2 GeV, 20 kG, 100–200 mA) was used for fluorescence excitation. working energies ranged 8 to 35 keV. Without focusing x-ray optics, spatial resolution 60 μm with monochromatic and 30 beam. minimum detectable concentration elements (within Fe-Sr region) is 10 ppm 1–3 s...

The mutual coherency of spontaneous radiation from two undulators separated by an achromatic bend was observed. An updated magnetic system with optical klystron implemented for this experiment. experiments confirm theoretical expectations. possible use a similar technique efficient power extraction high-power free-electron lasers (FELs) is discussed. This experiment shows the importance achromaticity undulators.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...

In this paper we present a project of Booster-injector for the Duke FEL storage ring. The Booster will provide full energy injection into ring at from 0.25 to 1.2 GeV. (SR FEL) operates in lasing mode with 193-700 nm wavelength range. This range be extended VUV near future. geometry SR provides head-on collision e-beam and photons. operation is used High Intensity /spl gamma/-ray Source (HI/spl gamma/S facility) generating intense beams gamma/-rays 1 MeV about 200 (currently 2 58 MeV)....

Lasing in the visible and ultraviolet ranges was reached optical klystron installed on a VEPP-3 storage ring (see N. A. Vinokurov et al., 1977) with minimum relative linewidth Delta lambda / = 10/sup -4/. In order to decrease authors performed experiments reported here. The cavity updated install intracavity selective elements. used simplest element-a glass plate parallel planes as natural interferometer. With 1.2 mm thick inside cavity, lasing has been very narrow linewidth. linewidth,...

We have developed reflective diffraction optical elements (DOE) for focusing radiation of terahertz free electron lasers (FEL). Metal-dielectric Fresnel zone plates and metallic kinoform "lens" at the right angle were fabricated tested using FEL radiation. Diffraction efficiency lens appears to be about unity. Quality images obtained with was studied. The used as a key element Toepler system, which studying condense matter non-uniformities deformations. experiments performed Novosibirsk KAERI FELs.

The OK-4 is the first storage ring FEL operating in United States. It was commissioned November, 1996 and demonstrated lasing near UV visible ranges (345-413 nm) with extracted power of 0.15 W. In addition to lasing, OK-4/Duke generated a nearly monochromatic (1% FWHM) /spl gamma/-ray beam. this paper we describe initial performance source.
