ABSTRACT Numerical modeling of earthquake dynamics and derived insight for seismic hazard relies on credible, reproducible model results. The sequences earthquakes aseismic slip (SEAS) initiative has set out to facilitate community code comparisons, verify advance the next generation physics-based models that reproduce all phases cycle. With goal advancing SEAS robustly incorporate physical geometrical complexities, here we present comparison results from two new benchmark problems: BP1-FD...
We propose a tunable nonreciprocal optical absorber based on one-dimensional topological photonic crystal heterostructure with Weyl semimetals. The study reveals that embedding semimetal thin film at the interface of an asymmetric induces coupling between states and epsilon-near-zero effect semimetal. results show this leads to hybridized Rabi splitting, perfect absorption is observed within splitting region, which closely related Fermi energy This phenomenon further elucidated through...
Tunnels in fractured rock masses are typically damaged by dynamic disturbances from various directions. To investigate the influence of blasting load directions on stability a tunnel with pre-crack nearby, tests were conducted physical models an external crack around (ECT) this study. Failure modes tunnels analysed based stress wave theory. The Riedel–Hiermaier–Thoma (RHT) material model was employed to perform numerical simulations ECT models. Stress distribution and final failure patterns...

The failure behavior and tensile strength of sandstone materials under different strain rates are greatly different, especially static loads impact loads. In order to clearly investigate the mechanism loads, a series Brazilian disc samples were used by employing green sandstone, red black carry out loading splitting tests, properties subjected two conditions analyzed discussed. Subsequently, also simulated finite element code. good agreement between simulation results experimental can obtain...
The parabolic trough collector (PTC) is one of the most mature technologies to harvest solar energy for heat applications. However, non-uniform flux distribution on outer surface absorber tube can lead a high local temperature and large gradient wall, thus resulting into many issues, such as degradation selective coating, vacuum loss, deformation tube, even breakage glass envelope. These issues pose great challenges safety high-efficiency operation PTC systems. corresponding effective...
The moisture content of rocks in nature often changes with the natural hydrological environment, and generally rock may be classified into three types, that is, dry, natural, saturated rock. corresponding responses to dynamic loads have considerable difference, therefore, impact tests this paper were conducted on single cleavage triangle sandstone specimens types conditions, respectively, under various loading rates. ingredient was determined by X-ray diffraction optical microscopic image....
Abstract In this paper, a large size trapezoidal open crack with arc‐bottom (TOCAB) configuration specimen was proposed. Experiments were carried out using 0°, 60°, 90° and 120° TOCAB specimens under drop weight impacts loading rate from 150 to 350 GPa/s. The length speed calculated by fractal method. It shows that the corrected method is more than 12% original straight length. AUTODYN code employed simulate propagation path speed. dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) ABAQUS code....

Abstract The presence of cancer stem cells (CSCs) contributes significantly to treatment resistance in various cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Despite this, the relationship between stemness immunity remains poorly understood. In this study, we aimed identify potential immunotherapeutic targets sensitive drugs for CSCs HNSCC. Using data from public databases, analyzed expression patterns prognostic values index was calculated using single-sample gene set...
