Developing metal–organic materials (MOMs) with chemical robustness is a prerequisite to exploring their intriguing properties and applications. As part of continuing effort construct robust MOMs featuring chelated building units, here we introduce "bent" thiophene-2,5-dihydroxamate ligand multiple intrinsic conformations when it used as chelating linkage. This approach should further diversify the coordination chemistry in hydroxamate-based MOM structures without compromising stability. In...

To address the synthetic challenge of covalent organic frameworks (COFs), especially those with interfering functional groups, a Bayesian optimization (BO) centered approach is developed and implemented. Specifically, crystallinity index for well-known TAPB-PDA COF improved by ≈80% via one-round proof-of-concept BO. For more complicated task toward preparation hydroxamate-functionalized TpPa COF, where improvement both selectivity (against crystalline byproduct) needed, an efficient protocol...

Freshwater resources can be sustainably harvested through interfacial evaporation by solar energy. To enhance the efficiency of evaporation, a metal–graphene alcohol gel is synthesized using one‐step thermal reduction technique. Subsequently, aerogel (GA) produced freeze‐drying technology. The hydrothermal treatment method applied to introduce asymmetric moisture and roughness on upper lower surfaces aerogel. unique structure plays significant role in facilitating continuous water transport...

Starting from labile hydroxamic acid ligands that are strong chelators, here, we implemented a sacrificial modulating strategy to prepare series of scandium carboxylate metal–organic frameworks. Overcoming conventional syntheses use excessive modulators, the present greatly reduces organics required and produces large single crystals several Sc-MOFs for X-ray crystallography.

A hetero-[4]pseudorotaxane was designed to perform a molecular machine function of contraction and expansion utilizing the binding features CyP6Q[6] classical Q[7]. First, effect on guest equatorial substitution Q[6]'s examined by comparing Me4Q[6] against Q[6] using eight molecules varying in shape, size, neutrality, or cations. Second, data provided optimal structural for design tetraammonium ion chain synthesis hetero-[4]pseudorotaxane. Finally, constructed, order component placement...

Side-chain giant molecules, constructed from monomers by precision synthesis, are viewed as a size-amplified analogue of conventional linear polymers. The molecular accuracy in terms composition, sequence, topology, and functionality makes these precise macromolecules an ideal platform to investigate the interplay various parameters their hierarchical assembly processes. In this study, we studied crystallization two sets amphiphilic side-chain molecules with elegantly designed chain...

Abstract The chiral amines (R,R and S,S)‐1‐amino‐2‐benzyloxycyclopentane (R S)‐α‐methylbenzylamine were converted to ammonium (D L) hydrogen tartrate salts induced chiroptic effects investigated following encapsulation in Q[7]. Significant differences observed ORD CD spectra for the two amines. optical performed as a precursor study potential method enantiomer separation, utilising Q[7] conjunction with enantio‐pure tartrates. An enantiomeric excess was achieved antipodes of...

Solar-driven sorption-based atmospheric water harvesting (SSAWH) technology stands as a promising avenue for sourcing freshwater in arid and remote regions. For real-world large-scale applications, the effective absorption capacity, broad humidity range, rapid desorption properties of adsorbent materials have been main goals research area. In this context, we developed binary salt composite material (PAMg-Li) solar-driven by integrating hygroscopic salts MgSO4 particles LiCl particles,...
