We present the results of an experimental study magnetic dipole (M1) transitions in highly charged argon ions (Ar X, Ar XI, XIV, XV) visible spectral range using electron beam ion trap. Their wavelengths were determined with, for ions, unprecedented accuracy up to sub-ppm level and compared with theoretical calculations. The QED contributions, calculated this Letter, are found be 4 orders magnitude larger than error absolutely indispensable bring theory experiment a good agreement. This...

Abstract In this work, α decay and proton emission half-lives are studied by the deformed Gamow-like model, which introduces effects of nucleus deformation. The calculations show that it is necessary to consider deformation in calculation for nuclei far from shell. Moreover, model used predict shell more accurately. indicate our follows Geiger-Nuttall law. Furthermore, study structure, we find number next neutron likely be 152. Abstract In this work, we systematically investigate the two-proton (2 p ) radioactivity assisted by an ultra-intense laser field within a deformed one-parameter model (OPM). The results show that hardly affects preformation probability of emitted 2 -pair, but it can change radioactive half-lives to finite extent affecting penetrability probability. Moreover, compare responses different nuclei field, and is found with low decay width are more easily influenced intense field. Furthermore,...
