A data-fitting method based on the whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is proposed to determine thickness and refractive index of films measured by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). To demonstrate this method, tin oxide (SnO2) with transparent wavelength coverage (400–800 nm) are evaluated. The comparative analysis indicates that Psi Delta parameter curves WOA fitting align more closely those obtained through experiments. Furthermore, in nearly agreement results from well-known...

The BES experiment at the Beijing electron-positron collider has observed ξ(2230) signal in π+π−, K+K−, K0SK0S, and p¯p final states with 4.6σ, 4.1σ, 4.0σ, 3.8σ statistical significances, respectively. new observations of two nonstrange decay modes ξ→π+π− are important evidence for glueball interpretation ξ(2230).Received 30 October 1995DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.76.3502©1996 American Physical Society

Persistent organic (POPs), including organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs), and dechlorane plus isomers (DPs), are serious hazards both environment humans. These POPs have been widely detected typically present at trace levels; however, separating...

Abstract Introduction Predicting discharge disposition for burn patients with large total body surface area (TBSA) is essential to optimizing care and improving long-term outcomes. Patient recovery, expectations, goal setting require early physician planning, but recovery rarely based solely on TBSA.
