The BES experiment at the Beijing electron-positron collider has observed ξ(2230) signal in π+π−, K+K−, K0SK0S, and p¯p final states with 4.6σ, 4.1σ, 4.0σ, 3.8σ statistical significances, respectively. new observations of two nonstrange decay modes ξ→π+π− are important evidence for glueball interpretation ξ(2230).Received 30 October 1995DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.76.3502©1996 American Physical Society

This paper investigates the influencing factors of colorimetric radiation image temperature measurement method, including representative wavelength, calibration and camera exposure time. A relatively high-precision method is next obtained for selecting a wavelength method. Then it applied to combustion solid propellant specimen. Finally, variation regularity different was analyzed in process combustion. The results show that maximum response each channel as function construction more...

To characterize the combustion properties of solid propellants, synchronized measurement method burning rate and temperature is proposed combined shadow imaging radiation imaging. Using spectroscopic filtering imaging, images a propellant specimen are obtained synchronously. Burning calculated by surface movement velocity images, image thermometry. Measurement accuracies validated other independent methods. On this basis, measurements different formulations specimens under working conditions...

Heat flux (W/cm2) through irradiated fur layer is dependent, to a great extent, upon reasonable description ofthe solar energy absorbed within the medium and reflected from it. A model that predicts temperature profile heatflux was developed. The method incorporates thermophysical optical (individual bulk)properties of layer. For no wind assumption considered in this study, hair coat higherthan assumed skin surface, coverage by black resulted higher heat load at surface thanthat white coat.

Alumina‐matrix composites with and without SiC particulates have been produced by directed melt oxidation of a multicomponent Al alloy. In the more general case, microstructure consists three interpenetrating phases: preform, continuous α‐Al 2 O 3 matrix, network unoxidized metal. The volume fraction metal within product decreases increasing processing temperature, its distribution is less uniform when preform present. does not show evidence degradation molten alloy, but growth front tends...

Purely leptonic decays of the charged D meson have been studied using reaction e+e−→D∗+D− at a center mass energy 4.03 GeV. A search was performed for D→μνμ recoiling against D0 or D+ which had reconstructed from its hadronic decay products. single event candidate found in e+e−→D∗+D−, where D∗+→π+D0 with D0→K−π+, and D− decaying via D−→μ−ν̄μ.
