We report on the measurement of γp→J/ψp cross section from E_{γ}=11.8 GeV down to threshold at 8.2 using a tagged photon beam with GlueX experiment. find that total falls toward less steeply than expected two-gluon exchange models. The differential dσ/dt has an exponential slope 1.67±0.39 GeV^{-2} 10.7 average energy. LHCb pentaquark candidates P_{c}^{+} can be produced in s channel this reaction. see no evidence for them and set model-dependent upper limits their branching fractions...
We present a search for axionlike particles, $a$, produced in photon-proton collisions at center-of-mass energy of approximately 4 GeV, focusing on the scenario where $a$-gluon coupling is dominant. The uses $a\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and $a\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ decays, data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity $168\text{ }\text{...
We report on the measurement of beam asymmetry $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}$ for reactions $\stackrel{P\vec}{\ensuremath{\gamma}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\ensuremath{\eta}$ and $\stackrel{P\vec}{\ensuremath{\gamma}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ from GlueX experiment using an 8.2--8.8-GeV linearly polarized tagged photon incident a liquid hydrogen target in Hall D at Jefferson Laboratory. These measurements are made as function momentum transfer...
Abstract As a prototype detector for the SHiP Surrounding Background Tagger (SBT), we constructed cell (120 cm × 80 25 cm) made from corten steel that is filled with liquid scintillator (LS) composed of linear alkylbenzene (LAB) and 2,5-diphenyloxazole (PPO). The equipped two Wavelength-shifting Optical Modules (WOMs) light collection primary scintillation photons. Each WOM consists an acrylic tube dip-coated wavelength-shifting layer on its surface. Via internal total reflection, secondary...
We report on the measurement of spin density matrix elements $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}(1520)$ in photoproduction reaction $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}(1520){K}^{+}$, via its subsequent decay to ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$. The was performed as part GlueX experimental program Hall D at Jefferson Laboratory using a linearly polarized photon beam with...
We report a measurement of the π− photoproduction beam asymmetry for reaction →γp→π−Δ++ using data from GlueX experiment in photon energy range 8.2–8.8 GeV. The Σ is measured as function four-momentum transfer t to Δ++ and compared phenomenological models. find that varies t: negative at smaller values positive higher |t|. can be described theoretically by t-channel particle exchange requiring pseudoscalar, vector, tensor intermediaries. In particular, this requires charge exchange, allowing...
We report measurements of the photon beam asymmetry $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}$ for reaction $\stackrel{P\vec}{\ensuremath{\gamma}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}^{0}$(1193) using GlueX spectrometer in Hall D at Jefferson Lab. Data were collected by a linearly polarized energy range 8.2--8.8 GeV incident on liquid hydrogen target. The was measured as function Mandelstam variable $t$, and single value extracted events produced $u$ channel. These are first...
