Ultrasound microscopy is the only technique that has ability to monitor live-cell morphology over a long period of time without causing any damage cells, but its longer wavelength prevents one from obtaining high-resolution cell images. Here, we propose deep-learning (DL) method for generating acoustic By preparing datasets consisting many pairs and optical-microscope images same cells training them, image comparable optical generated an image. Importantly, most accurate are when three-layer...

We present three-dimensional profilometry based on triangulation in which a hexagonal pattern is projected the object. To obtain an accurate result with one-shot photographic image, Fourier transform method and of excess fraction are adopted. The three grating components used. For compactness new projection scheme introduced. experimental results show that constructed optical system works well for measuring profile mannequin height resolution ~ ± 1 mm.

This paper solves a long-standing problem in resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (RUS) for cubic solids through the use of two-dimensional deep learning (DL). By means inverse methods, conventional RUS can determine all independent elastic constants crystalline solid specimen by comparing measured and calculated free-vibration resonance frequencies. However, to avoid invalid local minima process, good initial guesses must be available. Here, we propose DL scheme remedy this problem, which...

Low-temperature microjoining, such as wire (or ribbon) bonding, tape automated bonding (TAB), and flip chip (FCB), is necessary for electronics packaging. Each type of microjoining takes on various aspects but has common mechanisms regarding friction slip, plastic deformation, heating. In the present paper, solid-state in Au (ball) FCB, Al (WB), ribbon are discussed to systematically understand mechanisms. Ultrasonic vibration enhances slip making it possible rapidly obtain dry...

We acoustically measured the energy level for thermally activated conduction (TAC) in high-resistivity Fe-doped GaN using non-contacting antenna-transmission acoustic-resonance method. The acoustic attenuation takes a maximum at specific temperature, where TAC is accelerated with help of phonon energy. Debye type relaxation thus observed attenuation, and its activation (0.54$\pm$0.04 eV) was determined measurements various frequencies temperatures. This value agrees E3 GaN, indicating that...

Abstract Oxide vapor phase epitaxy (OVPE) has attracted much attention as a highly efficient method for synthesizing high-quality bulk GaN crystals, but the mechanical properties of OVPE have not been clarified. We measured five independent elastic constants by resonant ultrasound spectroscopy. The in-plane Young modulus E 1 and shear C 66 are smaller than those hydride 1.8% 1.3%, respectively. These reductions agree with predictions density functional theory calculations. also calculated...
