Leptoconops (Holoconops) beccus sp. nov. is described from India after molecular and morphological data. Both sexes of the new species were fetched Digha, coastal region West Bengal. A revised key to Oriental subgenus Holoconops Kieffer also designed.

Two new species of biting midges, Forcipomyia (Forcipomyia) arcuatilis sp. nov. and (Saliohelea) sternaspina are described based on specimens collected respectively from the Dooars, Sub-Himalayan region West Bengal, a part Himalaya Biodiversity Hotspot, India.
