In this paper, laser emission at 3.92 μm in heavily-holmium-doped fluoride fibers using 888 nm and 1660 as pumping sources is investigated through numerical modeling. The dual-wavelength system has lower threshold higher slope efficiency than the single-wavelength nm. addition, can decrease heat load due to input influencing energy transfer up-conversion cross-relaxation processes effectively, which indicates possibility of raising heat-damage providing high-power generation. We report a double-cladding fluoroindate fiber with three layers of step refractive index glass. The gain is fabricated by the traditional rob-in-tube method.
