This letter proposes a soft wearable robot with shape memory alloy (SMA)-based artificial muscle to assist upper limb motion. The SMA-based was designed by embedding bundle of SMA coil springs into stretchable coolant vessel, which allows active cooling the bundles through circulation. By attaching muscles brace, elbow flexion and forearm supination/pronation. To support activities daily living (ADLs), proposed can produce more than 3 Nm torque in direction flexion. In addition, increase...

Abstract Lattice structures (LS) have been utilized in various fields, from engineering to biomedical sciences. In the lattice structures, triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) LS attains benefits terms of higher productivity and less material usage, a step towards greener 3D printing. However, no automated system exists that can effectively recommend parameters reduce waste, which is often neglected traditional methods. To overcome these challenges, this study presents machine learning...

<title>Abstract</title> Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) lattice structures are utilized in diverse fields such as engineering, material design, and biomedical. The use of appropriate TPMS 3D printing can obtain benefits terms production efficiency reduction towards a greener process. However, there is lack an automated solution to suggest the structure parameters, that unnecessary wastage cannot be neglected existing practices. To address above challenges, this study proposes machine...

Smart building technologies transform buildings into agile, sustainable, and health-conscious ecosystems by leveraging IoT platforms. In this regard, we have developed a Persuasive Energy Conscious Network (PECN) at the University of Glasgow to understand user-centric energy consumption patterns in an agile workspace. PECN consists desk-level monitoring sensors that enable us develop models can be exploited characterize normal usage behavior office occupant. study, make use staked long...

Current solar energy systems design methods mainly rely on experts developing designs 2D flat screens using outdated CAD models. Immersive 3D may democratise the process, such that can be designed quickly and accurately. Therefore, in this manuscript we measure user engagement or stress levels both a immersive virtual reality environment during task. User was measured by estimating user's vital signs non-invasive FMCW radar. In our pilot study, four participants tried interface while their...
